Just stayed here for three nights, our second visit to Southpark. The rooms are lovely with everything in them that you might need. Comfortable large bed and a great shower in the en-suite. The rooms are cleaned and made up everyday. The breakfast is one of the best you will

This B & B was chosen because of TripAdvisor reviews. However it didn't quite reach the standards expected. Firstly the positives. There is plenty of parking. It is in a quiet location. Breakfast is good - typical Scottish style and options. The breakfast room is outstanding - a

Thank you for your very mixed review. Firstly, you arrived very early afternoon and was out at medical appointment. The rooms had only just been serviced, so that would explain a vague disenfectant smell when our extremely meticulous cleaner washed the bathroom ( ensuite)and guest kitchen floors. Approximate arrival times are clearly stipulated and although flexible we have a procedure in place to cater for such early guests, and very late arrivals too! We are lucky to have an external staircase and guests can enter via this method ( the door is usually left unlocked but covered by our CCTV) to save guests coming back or hanging around till we get back. They can then access their rooms and enjoy our comprehensive hospitality tray etc.... Many guests including regulars appreciate this arrangement. I did actually come up to your room door when I got back but as there was silence I assumed you were having a rest, or enjoying a quiet coffee! It is very clearly marked on our web site all our rooms are on the upper floor, and when usually present we do offer guests assistance with their luggage. We have an “eating out folder” which contains lovely local recommended restaurants, but also some takeaway suggestions...as an option.... some of which actually deliver to us free of charge... We are sorry you never took up our options to eat in the lovely conservatory ...as an alternative to eating in the guest kitchen. We agree a guest kitchen is unusual in that we know of no other guest house which offers such popular facilities ...used daily by other guests for laundry facilities as well as making or preparing light meals for those who prefer to eat in...or if they have arrived really late... Although a busy and popular establishment.... we remember your stay!!. We are nonetheless extremely dissapointed you did not experience the hospitality we are widely renowned for from visitors and that our 25 years of catering for a variety of guests (worldwide) was not suited to your expectations! We have however added your full details to “guest check” to assist other establishments in the future!!, Many thanks again. Ewan
