Nestled away close to the picturesque Loch Shin and surrounded by a stunning vista punctuated with Munros, Lochs Shin Glamping Pods offer you the perfect Highland hideaway. If you love the great outdoors but prefer to enjoy it with some of the comforts indoors, then our glamping pods are the perfect place for you. Idyllically located in the heart of rural Scotland the pods are a great central base to visit many places on the NC500 and the beautiful North and West coastlines of the northern Highlands. All four of the pods are equipped with electricity, come fully insulated, heated and offer you the convenience of your own kitchenette and en-suite facilities. With a double bed and a double sofa bed, the pods comfortably sleep 2 adults and 2 children, (they can accommodate up to 4 adults but you may find this a little too cosy). Bedding and towels are included and you are welcome to bring up to two small, well behaved dogs for a small fee.

Stunning Location, everything you could ever need in the glamping pods, from fluffy towels to comfy beds, and fire pits for toasting marshmallows. Perfect for our short break in the highlands, but next time we will be making it longer! Anita and John were the best hosts, we even had a brilliant insight into all their animals one morning, helping to feed Bruce and the crew, John is very informative and clearly passionate about the wildlife. The area is beautiful and peaceful, with plenty of walks for beginners and the more advanced, all within easy reach. The local restaurant The Pier is well worth a visit too.

We had an incredible stay at the Glamping Pods with Anita and John! The pods are lovely decorated and you got everything you need. In addition, each pod has its own outside patio with a dining area, sporting an incredible view over the valley. You have the possibility to make a fire in a fire pit just across from the pod and enjoy the serene tranquility and peace of this place. Anita and John are super hosts, welcoming and warm.

Absolutely amazing! We were so lucky to get to stay in the pods for two full weeks with our dogs and we loved every minute of it! The pods are super clean and equipped with everything we needed, the location is simply stunning and perfectly situated in the Highlands with only about an hour drive to the surrounding highlights, and we loved meeting all the animals on the croft. But the very best part of the stay were our hosts Anita and John - they were super nice, kind and very helpful. We loved our stay and would recommend this place to everyone!

Beautiful location, everything you could need, spotlessly clean, and fluffy towels too. Fabulous views, also surrounded by fields with alpacas, highland cows, sheep and highlight of our evening meal was watching a farmer getting in the harvest as the sun started to go down. Anita and John welcoming, friendly, but discrete. Coffee and breakfast van on site - real bonus. Would highly recommend.

What a great place to stay with great hosts. Pods were lovely and provided a great stop over for three cyclists. Location is great with great views and beds were very comfortable. Many thanks to hosts who made us very welcome on late arrival.

We recently stayed the Loch Shin pods and they were perfect. The surroundings are stunning, well kept and owned by lovely people. Our pod was of a good size, well equipped, comfortable beds and very clean. Our children love the outdoors and there are cows , deer, alpacas and chickens for them to see. We had a fab time and can't wait to go back.

This really is the perfect place. Surrounded by stunning views, lovely walks for all abilities and so peaceful. The pods are the best I have ever stayed in. The bed was super comfy, snuggly pod, great shower and kitchen area was very well stocked. Meeting all of the animals and breakfast at The Antler was just the icing on the cake. Would 100% recommend and will be returning soon I hope. Thank you for a great stay

How lucky to have been recommend Loch Shin Pods. Anita and John are lovely hosts with lots of info on the area. The pod was so cosy, everything you need for a relaxing stay. We got to feed the cows and deer which was great, and were lucky enough to see the Cockerell and his Monty Python esq funny walk, still making me laugh 😂. The weather was very kind on our visit, the views so beautiful, but even on a rainy day you could snuggle down and dream about staying forever! Thank you both.

This was our first stay in a Pod but we will definitely be back! What a fantastic experience, such a cosy well equipped base to enjoy the incredible area of northern Scotland. Our hosts John and Anita couldn’t have been better! They are so happy to help with places to visit and things to see. We stayed for three nights and it just wasn’t long enough. Anita was so helpful with her knowledge of places to visit, even checking out the opening times of Dunrobbin Castle for us. John took us on a “Croft tour” allowing us to feed the highland coos, red deer and alpacas which was just the best experience ever. Waking up in Horse Chestnut Pod to a cloudless sky, having a cup of tea in bed whilst looking out towards the Loch and surrounding mountains is just so special. The pod had everything we needed, with a fantastic hot shower. We can’t wait to be back, this really is such a special place.…

Brilliant, simply brilliant as my 6 year old puts it! But it truly was a wonderful stay at Loch Shin Glamping Pods. Wonderful hosts providing great communication throughout our booking process and just all round warmth and happiness. The animals you can see and get up ‘close’ if you choose to, is such a bonus where you are staying, especially with children, as its lovely to see their wonderment. The pods are fabulously equipped with everything you could need with a lovely hot shower and space and utensils to cook easily. John and Anita are amazing hosts and happy to help with places to visit and things to see and do but there was also detailed information in the pod to peruse at your leisure. This was our second visit and already planning our next and this really is…. A beautiful, magical place. If you can get availability, book early, you will not be disappointed!…
