Detailed Reviews
We stayed recently for 4 nights at this site in the tin tent nr1. Initially we had no high expectations, but on arrival we were very surprised. The tin tent 1, toilet and shower rooms were sparkling clean and the same high standard was kept trough all our stay. The tin tent 1 had everything we needed to prepare our own food. There is no running water inside the tin tent, instead we used outdoor sink, shower and toilet which are only 10 meters away and we had no issues with that.
Host is very friendly and we felt very welcome there. The location was perfect for exploring northern Scotland, including NC500 and for £22 per night it made our holiday extension to remote parts of Scotland possible.
Highly recommending this site to anyone looking for accommodation in this and surrounding area.

This campsite was a real diamond for us.
Communication with the owner Sasha was great from the off. The shower and toilet are basic but very clean. All you could ask for really!
There is a games room with a pool table, dart board and table football. The washing up area is clean and tidy.
We loved the little BBQ area which was undercover and pondside. There is a lovely walk down to the river with an enclosed field which is perfect for the dog walk.
We even had some laundry done by Sasha and it was considerably cheaper than other campsites we had been at.
Our tent pitch was in a good location and we slept the best we had on our whole trip.
The whole campsite was calm, relaxing and so friendly.
A special mention has to go out to Sasha and her family who went above and beyond to help us when we had a medical emergency. Unable to drive, Sasha was kind enough to take us to A&E in the very early hours of the morning. We will forever be grateful.
We honestly can not wait to stay here again, it is just one of our favourites! We just can't believe how cheap it is, such great value.

Lovely Little Campsite, we camped for two nights while on a roadtrip of Scotland. Fantastic facilties included showers, toilets, washing up area and games room. Better facilties than most campsites, really cannot knock especially for value for money.

We hadn’t seen that motor homes weren’t encouraged, but the lovely owner was very honest with us, we could stay but at our own risk.
The campsite was very well maintained and very quiet.
The toilets were clean, with added little extras like bin bags, washing up liquid and shampoo. Very reasonable rates.

We stayed here for 3 nights and used it as a central location to tour the NC500 and surrounding roads on the motorbike, and to do some walking in the hills. We stayed in Tin Tent 1 which was well equipped and clean. The decking is a nice touch and we enjoyed breakfast and dinner outside in the sunshine. The toilets and showers are excellent, clean and plenty of hot water after a long day on the bike or in the hills.
Sasha and Craig are excellent hosts and couldn't do enough for us. The site is very well maintained, spotlessly clean and incredibly peaceful and tranquil. A great place to unwind. Highly recommended!

The site appears to have been carved out of a wetland, a few hours of rain and it was awash with muddy puddles. We were very concerned about getting bogged down when trying to leave. The facilities were very limited and basic, one shower and one toilet for the whole site. The facilities were roughly made from chipboard. Doors didn't fit to the extent that someone sat on the toilet could be easily seen from outside. The £20 we were charged was far too high compared with other sites for the same price. We left a day early and asked for a refund for the last day but so far no replies to our email request.

I absolutely loved this place and the owners. It is so peaceful with wide open views. I couldn't believe that in the middle of summer there were just another 2 groups of campers. The site is so homely and in tune with its surroundings and despite my best efforts my furry companion still found the river!! I loved the loos and showers, brilliantly barmy. Thank you for a great stay. I will be back.

Beautiful homely welcoming campsite
What a lovely family run campsite, would highly recommend, hot showers, fun and free games room, great views and scenic walks around lochs, a chance to see the northern lights (which we were lucky enough to see twice) Owners go above and beyond to accommodate all guests also very knowledgeable about the area. Great value for money at £20 a night electric hook up. We will definitely be returning next year. Thank you for an amazing stay 💖

Excellent site for tents and small camper vans. A calming place to be with thoughtful additions such as an outdoor covered bbq area, a games room, and a ball game field. The showers and toilet facilities were plentiful for a small site, all in good working order and clean. You could pitch where you chose and there were many active travellers on bikes cycling the remote and peaceful roads of the area using the site as a stopover. The site is around 2-3 miles from Lairg. Highly recommend is the Pier cafe in Lairg which has a great seating area over looking the loch. The booking for the site was easy to do by phone and the owners were informative and welcoming.

My Wife and I loved our stay in one of the tin tents. The site is in beautiful surroundings, with views out to the loch. We enjoyed seeing a variety of birds and wildlife round the pond. The games room was great fun and included pool, darts and table football. Highly recommended.
