We stayed recently for 4 nights at this site in the tin tent nr1. Initially we had no high expectations, but on arrival we were very surprised. The tin tent 1, toilet and shower rooms were sparkling clean and the same high standard was kept trough all our stay. The tin tent 1 had everything we needed to prepare our own food. There is no running water inside the tin tent, instead we used outdoor sink, shower and toilet which are only 10 meters away and we had no issues with that. Host is very friendly and we felt very welcome there. The location was perfect for exploring northern Scotland, including NC500 and for £22 per night it made our holiday extension to remote parts of Scotland possible. Highly recommending this site to anyone looking for accommodation in this and surrounding area.…
We stayed for one night on a camping pitch. Such a peaceful location and very sheltered (especially after you've spent a night or two on the coast!). Very well priced for a family feel where you're made to feel very welcome. The sheltered BBQ area is great if you're wanting to warm up on a night, and Bobby's is a well put together games room with essentials available to buy if needs be. The toilets were clean as was the shower but they aren't as well established as other sites - queues were a slight issue in the morning for the loos! Apart from the slight short fall, the facilities are generally good and we enjoyed our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at pondside. The setting is lovely and we were made to feel very welcome. We had ordered dinner from the owners and it was lovely and very well priced. Would definetly recommend to others. Great games room also!
Great little place. Got a family feel to it with only around 8/9 tent pitches. It has access to bbq, covered dining and a cool chill out and games room called ‘Bobby’s’. Nice couple that run it, you’re made to feel very welcome.
Lovely informal setting. Little ponds. BBQs under cover, and also covered area for dishwashing. A lovely touch was the little "snug" with pool, darts, table football, maps etc. Just a shame that, because we were only passing through (and the weather wasn't great) we couldn't take advantage of the facilities.
