We stayed here one night whilst touring Scotland. It was hidden down a side road near the Commando Memorial (awesome) Our room was called Viola and if it had been that room alone we would really have struggled for space especially with a dog. Luckily there was a single bedroom attached to our bathroom so we were able to store the suitcase and clothes in there. The bathroom was lovely, excellent shower, towels were fluffy and nice and the staff absolutely fabulous. We were sad that this was the ONLY hotel of 10 we stayed in where our well behaved dog was not allowed to sit under the table. We ate in the hotel and the food was quality but not great in quantity and rather expensive. Nevertheless we enjoyed the meal and the views across to Ben Nevis from the dining room were stunning. I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel but I would ask for a larger room when booking. Our room backed onto the rear car park and cars coming in and out on gravel were a pain.

Met by our friendly host with delicious scones and tea. Clean and modern room with very comfortable beds and a powerful shower. Delightful restaurant with views to die for. Lovely cocktails and superb quality of food. Great choice at breakfast and packed lunch. We loved the resident pigmy goats. Great to visit the Comando memorial on a peaceful summer evening.

Thoroughly enjoyed our third visit to this quaint hotel in the most scenic situation. Our bedroom was spotless and really comfortable especially the bed. Very quiet so great sleep. Wonderful restaurant and with the most amazing views towards Ben Nevis and stunning if weather kind.Rosa gave us terrific attention and service over two day stay. Both dinners were delicious and totally loved the seafood special on our second night! Scrumptious! Lovely breakfast menu with plenty choices and generous tea and coffee. Eggs from own hens and some nice goats on site. Lovely circular walk outside drive over a style and through pretty woodland and eventually passing the Commando Memorial. Which is well worth a visit as is this family run hotel. So nice to see so many guests given only opening up again. Look forward to another visit.

The hotel is set in a quite isolated spot in lovely countryside with attractive walks from the doorstep. The staff are welcoming and helpful. My glasses which I left behind were posted on to me. Relaxing dining room with excellent food looks out onto woodland stream.

We stopped for one night whilst walking in the highlands and it was a perfect stop. The welcome was warm and friendly and was Covid-safe. The room was big and comfortable, with armchairs to enjoy the welcome tea and cake. We enjoyed delicious cocktails before a fantastic dinner. The pan-fried gnocchi and cod risotto with scallops made for the one of most delicious meals we’ve ever had. All whilst watching the sun set over behind the mountains. Breakfast was just as splendid. They were even good enough to give us a lift down into Gairlochy. The warmest welcome, the tastiest food and amazing location. We will be back at Old Pines again
