We just stopped for a quick meal in the Byre cafe . Such a great welcome from the owners and it seemed a pity to have to leave. Lovely home cooked cakes and much more . Will return in the new year . With so many places closed on Skye in November , the owners should be congratulated on staying...

We had a lovely time at The Byre. The room was very cosy and clean, full of books and films, which help you had a very good and relaxing evening. There's also a dining room for self-catering and a sofa. The location in Skye is great, very close to Neist Point. Our breakfast was delicious and the hosts made us...

Its like taking a pause from the stressed world outside. The cozy room makes you feel relaxed and inspires you to read a good book or just look out over the beautiful view from you window. Very nice and sweet hosts and a lovely countryside feeling outside and in the area. We loved it!

This is a fantastic place to stay to appreciate the beauty of Skye - it is a drive but well worth it ! The accommodation is the perfect blend of self-catering and B&B - there is a sitting/dining room, bathroom and a really comfortable double bed in an alcove. Breakfast is fantastic - so fresh & beautifully cooked. The surrounding...

The Byre definitely has local charm and we enjoyed our stay there. Di and Julian were very nice and accommodating in a quiet unobtrusive way. A quiet knock on the adjoining kitchen door each morning had Di delivering our breakfast to our cozy dining table. As we expected, it is a one room accommodation with an en suite. We were...

Our stay at the Byre was perfect in every way. Hosts Di and Julian made us immediately feel very welcome and when we stepped into our accommodation we were thrilled to find such a cosy peaceful place, spotlessly clean, a modern bathroom, comfy high quality furnishings and shelves containing local helpful information. Nothing was too much trouble for Di and...

We stopped off to stay at The Byre on our first ever visit to Skye whilst touring the Hebrides. From the first second Di & Julian made us feel very welcome & could not do enough to help us. We asked for recommendations of where to eat that evening and were given great advice, which we followed & had a...

Well !! Do not know were previous reviewers have stayed before : This place is certainly quiet, cheap and kind of cozy but it was not clean : dog's and cat's and human's hairs on the carpet, in the bathroom, dusty (Do not look under the bed!). Hosts were OK as well as breakfast but we have seen better places...

The Byre is an enchanting place to stay - nestled into the valley with an amazing view from the window across the garden and valley to the loch and sea beyond. Diane and Julian are extremely hospitable and friendly hosts, and Diane's cooking is absolutely fantastic - the fishcakes with salsa in particular were sublime as were the fresh crab...
