My husband and I are just finishing up a two week stay at the Tiki Villas and could not be happier with our choice. Tiki Villas is just the right size with 9 villas so it never feels busy or crowded. The location is gorgeous. On a hillside looking over the beautiful tree canopy and out to the Pacific which you can always hear crashing. My husband and I are nature lovers and we saw so many birds here, including the King Vulture that I wanted so badly to see! We also saw tons of other lovely parrots, toucans and tanagers, Howler Monkeys, Agoutis and one day had a visit from 3 Tayras! The pool at Tiki Villas is a stunner, with its edge hanging over the rainforest and perfect views out to the ocean. I could easily hang there all day. Staff could not be better, from the housekeeping to the gardening to the restaurant and bar staff to the front desk. Everyone went out of their way to ensure we were looked after. We so appreciated our talks and the assistance we received from Keven, Gerald (keep birding friend!), Diego and the other gentleman in the restaurant (sorry I don't think I got his name) who makes the most outstanding iced caramel lattes in the afternoon. The location of the Tiki Villas makes it a super home base from which to explore the Dominical, Ojochal and Sierpe/Corcovado areas. There are also a ton of great restaurants in the area if you venture out and Keven's recommendations were spot-on every time. We had some really memorable meals on this trip, #1 being at the luxury sister resort to Tiki Villas, Hotel Three-Sixty. All in all a fabulous vacation and we would love to return next time we get to this area.

We stayed here for 5 nights and totally loved it. Especially the tranquility and peacefulness of the place is something we really liked. Only when we were in the restaurant area we heard human voices, in the villa only animal sounds (and a lot of them, especially around sunrise and sunset). The villas are very spacious and from the balcony you can watch all kind of animals.
The service is excellent and very friendly. Although there is a set menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, they are flexible of make changes.
One suggestion would be to improve the wifi in the villas as the connection was suboptimal and frequently we lost it all together.

This was such a last minute trip and I’m so glad I decided to come. The room was spacious and the sounds of the jungle lulled me to sleep and wakened me with joy I hadn’t ever felt.

The people that work here are the reason I booked this last minute trip and they are the reason I will be back. They exude kindness warmth and personality. I’m so grateful that places like this exist.

The breakfast was extremely filling tasty and satisfying.

Toucans in the morning and evening are just the cherry on the top.

The room was spotless and the beds were beautifully made. Being able to open the doors and have screens to enjoy the sounds was so nice. I didn’t even use the AC. So blessed to have found this place.

Thank you Katherine and Diego. Please don’t do anything different.

Visited Osa the 15th time and only 2nd time at Tiki Villas. The location is great, the service and room used to be great. Mismanaged and understaffed. Dissatisfied and disappointed.

Why?

We stayed in Villa 4 for 7 nights: the shower door doesn’t lock or slide easily, shower is a bit more that dripping, the toilet flushes non-stop, the sliding doors to the balcony lock with difficulty, one of the beds have ants. The railing of the outside shower is rusty and separated from the floor.

Service: Staff struggle with food orders, one morning we waited 45 minutes for eggs and bacon, when only 2 tables were occupied.

Everyday we were asked if room cleaning is needed, when the room is dusty; towels were changed only when requested, coffee refills replaced only when requested.

You get the impression that the owner doesn’t care and this place is being squeezed out of any existing resource.

The “end-game” for this place cannot be a bright one, unless maintained and managed.

Not again.

I came to Costa Rica to visit friends, but also wanted to do something for myself and get away for a couple of nights. After extensive research, I settled on Tiki Villas in Uvita and could not have been happier with my choice. I was seeking a place that was in the rainforest, yet near the beach, and had a pool and restaurant, and I found it! The booking process was easy and the communication from the Front Desk Supervisors months before my arrival gave me comfort in knowing the room was book and my requests were being honored. I was also able to book a spa treatment well in advance of my arrival. When I showed up, the atmosphere and services were beyond what I expected. The layout of the lodging allowed for privacy and immersion with that natural wonders of the area. The room was extremely clean, the air was on and indoor temperature comfortable, the kitchenette area stocked with items for meal prep, the indoor/outdoor showers large (with instant warm water) and the private veranda perfect. The infinity pool was clean and comfortable and there were plenty of lounge chairs for guests. What was most memorable was how incredibly helpful and friendly the staff were. Diego and Gerald were super helpful and attentive and Christian working the bar and restaurant was professional and available. The kitchen staff also needs a shout out because everything I ordered off the menu (breakfast, snack and dinner) was absolutely delicious. The spa treatment in the room opened to the rainforest was the icing on the cake - outstanding! And throw in the toucans, howler monkeys, iguanas and other visitors - it was the getaway in paradise I was hoping for. Would come back here in a heartbeat and will be recommending it to friends and family.

We loved our visit to Tiki Villas. The grounds were well maintained and the villa itself was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were eager to point out wildlife around the property that we otherwise probably would not have noticed. The local beaches, pristine in an unexplored kind of way, are very close to the hotel and are practically deserted. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Everything was wonderful during my 10 day stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, surrounded by beautiful green gardens, walking distance to the beach, and lots of birds and animals to see. The food was great (and affordable) in the restaurant, they even catered to my special diet. One of the highlights was the snorkeling tour to Cano Island where I saw a family of whales with a newborn baby and many other tropical fish. But what really made everything special was how well I was looked after by all the staff. Kevin, Luis, and Gerald treated me with such kindness and always made sure I had everything I needed. This was my second visit to Costa Rica and I will definitely come back to Tiki Villas!

Tiki Villas exceeded my expectations. We loved everything about it, that’s already been said in previous reviews: the location, the view, nature (saw monkeys and tucans), breakfast was delicious (about 5 hearty options to choose from), the pool… basically all of it. The room is very spacious with a well equipped kitchen which we didn’t use because there are SO many great restaurants to choose from in Uvita, Ojochal and Dominical (will be posting thise reviews as well).

Other pluses: has good parking, spacious rooms, bathroom and closet, safety box.

Don’t miss it!

Four night stay for our honeymoon, before spending three nights at sister Hotel 360. A week before arriving, I reached out to Tiki Villas about things I could do to make it special for my wife. They reverted quickly with details on arranging a bouquet of roses for our room, and suggestions for restaurants. They not only had great suggestions, but they helped arranged for a very special dining experience there with a petal walkway, candles, champagne, private seating, the works (it was at Oxygen Jungle Villas, highly recommend). It was probably my favorite night of the vacation, and it was organized completely by the wonderful staff of Adrian and Gerald. Other than that, we also did two excursions, all organized by Adrian (including transportation). It was effortless. When we found out one of the excursions was booked, Adrian went there personally to secure us a spot. Other than that, he and Gerald made some fantastic drinks (Banana Monkey was my favorite) that I would argue were better than Hotel 360!

In regards to location, despite being a more budget-friendly option to Hotel 360, the views were still phenomenal. Catching a sunset in the pool, drink in hand, absolutely made the trip on several occasions. Food was excellent, tried the whole menu, although I wish they had more options for dinner. Staff spoke fluent English, which made everything easy. Adrian, Gerald, and the rest o the staff put in so much effort, thank you all for making it special.

TikiVillas Rainforest Lodge offers a serene, beautiful escape from the hectic world of non-stop activity and electronic stimulation. With a small number of villas set into a hillside, the resort is a tasteful, relaxing place to enjoy the surrounding area, which itself, is a laid-back tropical environment.

Friendly staff, clean, comfortable surroundings with no TV’s, in an adult-only format, offers a quiet place to enjoy all that southern Costa Rica has to offer.

We would definitely visit again
