Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

we were very wellcome, friendly service, very clean place next to the watermill. The sound of the water is really nice when you walk or sit around. Thow the rooms are well isolated so you sleep well at night. Rooms are well decorated, neat and the beds are good. We felt very wellcome and you can also eat in the restaurant. Family owned hotel

This is a really great small hotel off the road 1km from Poligny. The couple who own and run it have created a beautiful, friendly place with excellent food ( a short menu with daily specials). Rooms are comfortable and there is a nice pool and gardens to sit in. We spent a terrific week here and would heartily recommend. There are a lot of steps as the hotel is on several levels, might be an issue for those who are less mobile.

A really great place to stay in the Jura / Comte. We stayed for three nights. The hotel made a good base to explore the region. A couple of tips. The town of poligny is about a 20 minute walk and can be reached along an easy path from the hotel (away from the main road). We did this on two evenings and walked back after dinner. Dinner at the hotel was very good though if you are tired after a long day (we did this on one of the evenings). If you have an EV - the owners told me they are considering getting a charger installed. However they were happy for me to plug in using my granny charger. Outdoor pool was not open (I think because it is still too cold in April) but the indoor pool was nice for a quick dip.

They've come with a bang with a new chef and a great menu, I've use this hotel when on business in the area , rooms clean, staff/owners very friendly and helpful. Always welcoming. They have employed a new young chef and the meals were fantastic worth eating in the hotel for.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our way south. The hotel although located on a main road is wonderfully quiet. It is an old mill and part has retained its original character. It is under new ownership and nothing is too much trouble, even putting our freezer packs in their freezer every night for our picnic the next day and ice for our drink bottles to take out with us. The owners are starting to refurbish the hotel. Our room was extremely clean. The pool although small was clean and the chemical levels checked. From the photos the pool looks overlooked but the buildings are the hotel itself. Interior pool. The breakfast was ample and the food in the restaurant was amazing and reasonably priced. There are several terraces to be able to enjoy the weather and gardens.

This place is terrible on so many fronts. Nothing like the airy pleasant photos. Staff unpleasant, rude and inexperienced. Our room was beyond hot, noisy from continual passing trucks on the road right in front, cheaply furnished, (no closet for bathroom), and it cost 135 euros a night! We were appalled. The whole experience was tatty and unpleasant. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

??? I have no idea who you are. But you need to be very sad in your life to be able to write such mean things about another ones life project. Do you have maybe more negative stuff to say about us? Or would you like to spend your time in something else. You did not even stay here.

Stayed here on the way home from Italy and it was a little gem! Quirky hotel over several floors, with a stream running through the gardens. The sound of running water was very soothing. The parking (a bit tight) is at the bottom and reception at the top, so if you have big bags, drop them off before parking. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The chef had the night off when we were there, but we were offered a simple meal, which turned out to be excellent. Very pleased we took them up on the offer, after driving over the mountains from Switzerland, I didn't fancy the drive into the nearby village. The bed was enormous and comfy and breakfast simple but good. A nice stay.

We did a one night stopover on our trip from Marseille to home. The hotel is outside of the city (you can walk into the city along the road but I would recommend this only during daytime). It has a phantastic restaurant so it does not really matter (if you like wine with your dinner and do not want to drive afterwards). Room was large and we had a bathroom with a balcony. Service was very friendly and helpful.

We loved the quirkiness of this small hotel. The river and old watermill provided a tranquil backdrop to our overnight stay. We arrived much later than anticipated but still were warmly greeted and served a delicious 3 course dinner with lovely local wine recommended by Patrice our host. Our room had recently been refurbished - we paid for the valley view room - with warm underfloor heating and a comfortable bed. We opened the bathroom window and slept soundly to gentle noise of the river outside. A lovely breakfast too. Our little dogs were no trouble either. A beautiful and quirky place to stay - in a lovely area on the wine trail.
