Very charming B&B. The hosts were very accommodating and would be very particular about making sure we had an excellent breakfast. Their full Irish breakfast gave you a great start to the day, They had great suggestions on the local and distant attractions. The room was spacious and very clean. We really loved their dogs.

We stayed here for two nights and the hospitality and personal touch was outstanding. Due to a family medical emergency we had to switch nights at the last minute and Mary was particularly helpful in accommodating us. This farmhouse is everything you image Ireland and Irish people to be. Can't wait to go back. Kevin, Kylie, Thomas & Emily.

I had such a lovely stay in Gorteen Farmhouse while I attended a workshop nearby. I hadn't imagined the accommodation would be one of the highlights of my stay in Clare but it was. Mary and Michael are so kind, friendly, and hospitable and their grandson was a little dote. Felt like a home from home. The food was delicious...

Picked this B&B because of reviews and also because we wanted a nice, quiet, friendly place to stay to recover from jet lag for our first trip to Ireland. Mary and Michael (and their son Iver) were absolutely delightful. It is so peaceful on their farm and great sleeping with windows open and fresh air and the sound of a...

Mary and Michael are great hosts, with plenty of stories and amazing home-made preserves as well as great art around the house. Comfortable, clean accommodation and excellent recommendation for evening meal - the Abbey Tavern at Quin.

Dear Mary, from welcoming our family with a perfect pot of hot tea, breads, and jams on a chilly April evening, to sharing family stories, a wonderful breakfast, helping us to locate horse riding stables for our girls to ride, and to our unimaginable and almost embarrassing need for laundry help during our stay, a hearty "thank you" is hardly...

The proximity to Shannon Airport, all the historic sites and Gorgeous, Lush Irish Countryside is Fantastic. We were a family of 5 adults travelling and visiting relatives in the area. Mary &...

Mary and her husband Michael were absolutely a pleasure to meet. The Farmhouse is rustic, beautiful and very clean, surrounded by beautiful countryside. We stayed a total of 2 nights in which we felt very welcomed and comfortable. Breakfast was served in the grand dining room and the food was all homemade and delicious. Full Irish breakfast served with homemade...

We arrived at Gorteen with only a short time to spare before our pre-booked medieval banquet started, but Mary immediately rang for a local taxi to save us the trouble. We had a great time at the Knappogue banquet and Mary was there to greet us at the door when we returned. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The windows...
