The Malu Bed & Breakfast is a wonderful structure overlooking the sea, built in the most beautiful point of Polignano a mare (the birthplace of Domenico Modugno, one of the most famous Italian singer, whose statue has been located just 20 metres far from our B & B ). The sea, near our structure, on which our rooms overlook, has been awarded with the Blue Flag and the 4 Sails of Legambiente. The family management of the Malu assures an incommensurable choice of culinary deliciousness in the continental breakfast that we offer to our appreciated guests. We use to propose to our client every morning too many homemade cakes, sweets, every kind of juices, jams, yogurt, quiches, fresh fruit and much more. The guideline of our team is make unforgettable the stay of our guest, combining radiance and kindness, with a charming and romantic location, a stunning view on sea and sunsets and an enchanting landscape. All our rooms, located just 30 metres from the beach, are modern, with air conditioning and with balcony, someone with panoramic sea view and someone inside.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed 3 days here. The location is top and also the view from our room was amazing. However the breakfast was quite less, and when we were running out of shampoos they did not replace it just throw away... so for 800 eur in a bed and breakfast you can expect to have shampoo and enough breakfast too.
I recommend their private boat tour, it was worth. 40 eur /person 1 hour.

I only stayed 2 nights at Malu, but it was a wonderful stay. The place is beautiful (with a gorgeous view from the terrace and places to lounge). A few minutes from the beach and the historic area, so close to everything you want to do. Breakfast is Italian style--croissants and coffee, so basic but good. The b&b is owned by a family who all work together to make the stay great. I could have stayed longer, and a great place to relax and catch your breath after traveling. There is a lift so if you have heavy bags like I did you can get to your room easily! I would stay here again.

We arrived at Malu after travelling from Matera. The driver took us right to the door and we were able to check straight in and get to our room so we could drop our luggage off and go and explore Polignano a Mare. The check in was straightforward and informative with Alessio explaining all that there was to see and do in the town. He also arranged a trip to Alberobello for us the following day. We had a suite with a sea view and WOW! what a view, right out to sea and great vistas of the cliffs! The room was clean, spacious and everything we needed. The hotel has a roof top terrace where they serve breakfast each day and is a bar each evening. The views are amazing! The breakfast was plentiful with a great choice to suit every taste and the WiFi was good to. Location was excellent as it was a short walk into the main hub of the town with a great choice of bars; restaurants and shops. If visiting Polignano a Mare then this B&B is hard to beat!

We spent just one night at Malu' and it was terrific! The owner upgraded our room which was very nice (it was our anniversary) to the top floor so we were right next to the lovely breakfast terrace with the amazing sea view! The owner also gave us a great dinner recommendation to Terrazze Monachile, which we thoroughly enjoyed! Also, their breakfast is delicious, everything is HOMEMADE and it was wonderful! You cannot beat the terrace with the sea view!
The room was nice. It was a bit small but it was nice, and it had everything we needed and a nice patio/terrace of its own with lounge chairs & table.
The only complication we experienced was arriving. We didn't realize the hotel was in the pedestrian-only center, so we had to park our rental car a distance away & walk w/ our luggage to find them. The owner was very helpful & he offered to come out onto the piazza to guide us. This was due to a miscommunication and we do not blame the hotel. It is truly in a great location, right off Piazza Domenico Modugno!
We would stay there again!!

The strong points of the structure are the location and the terrace where breakfast is served, with a truly fantastic view. The rooms have recently been renovated and are spacious, the bathroom in our room however needed a bit of maintenance as it had a shower with rust on the door tracks and on the taps.
Other than that everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was also excellent with the yogurt that looked like whipped cream

My adult
Son
and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at this beautiful perfectly located B&B. A family owned establishment, Alesso and his family catered to all of our needs. From local touring, great restaurant suggestions, local sights for us to see on a rainy day, even a recommended barber my son. They could not have been more accommodating. Room #9 was very comfortable (even the couch was comfortable for my son) and the view from our balcony room was fabulous. Highly recommended!

Malu B&B is in a great location for exploring Polignano a Mare. A short walk to the entrance of the old town. Stunning views over the Adriatic. We had a sea view room with a balcony. The room is spacious and the bed comfy but only one pillow each. Didn't ask for more so that could be an option. No coffee machine or kettle. There was a fridge. Very powerful shower but could do with a towel rail on the wall although towels were changed. Breakfast was ok. One type of cheese slice, same with 3 sliced meat options. Cold boiled eggs. Pastries and a selection of cake. Fruit. Nice coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful. Best restaurant was La Locanda Porta Picc. Boat trip to see the caves Dorino Gite in Barca. Would happily stay again.

We did a multi-stop overnight trip and Polignano was one of them. We chose this b&b for its location in the center. Small but clean room with excellent sea view. The only thing I really didn't like was the oilcloth on the bed which gave me the impression of sleeping on cardboard and therefore very uncomfortable.
Breakfast is taken on a beautiful panoramic terrace which we appreciated very much.

Tastefully decorated, but minimal cleanliness. A titanic enterprise can pay by post and also receive a receipt of payment. If you are going in more than 1 person you cannot use a hot shower because it is equipped with a very small water heater. Not recommended

+1
Perfect hotel, the owner welcomes you in the best way to please! An unmissable view, opening the door and looking at this sea... close to some tourist attractions, next to the bridge and beach. Breakfast on the terrace looking at the sea, what more do we need? Spend days here in this paradise 🙏🏿

Yes, there is a train, but the station may be closed when you arrive. We came by bus from Naples and it did not go to the train station. We were dropped off in the rain with no information available on how to get a taxi. Friends arrived by train from Bari and there were no trains. They called Malu which sent a jitney to pick them up. MY tip--bring your cellphone to avoid the walk. Avoid the Bus or again be prepared to call the hotel.
