Hotel actually not that bad, staff nice enough. Food is sufficient obviously not gourmet dining but it isn’t going to be is it. Air conditioning is none existent though which is a huge fail because sleeping of an evening is very unpleasant. Very outdated unit from probably the 70s when hotel was built - blows out zero cold air but just makes a very loud noise as if it is working this lets the hotel down massively needs some money spending on the air con system.

Just spent 10 days here . Taking into account the fact that this is a budget hotel there were some real pros and cons for me .
Pros
The hotel is in a great location. It was clean and maids visited daily . Plenty of plug sockets. As per photo you get a real discount on sun beds at the beach . There is entertainment. All staff were polite and helpful. The rooms were quite soundproofed . Our air con worked . Shower was good with plenty of hot water . Enjoyed visiting the wine palace with lots of wine to taste , carefour just round corner and lots of markets.

Cons
Room small and beds were hard . Food was not always the best … although we could always find something to eat . Tables are packed in very close together which gives a canteen feel. The sea was hard to get into … a steep ledge and on some days very strong waves . There are many beach sellers ( although we did enjoy having a massage … which was a bargain price ). We could not find any public toilets by the beach.

Having read some of the reviews on here before travelling I was wondering what my son and I were going to.
The hotel needs a little bit of loving care in some areas and the rooms are a tad small but it isn't all bad for the price you pay. There are some great features to it. Firstly, I have to say the receptionist staff were very helpful to us,particularly Jose and Ivan. The younger bar & restaurant staff were efficient and pleasant and Maria who oversees the entertainment and activities for children was great. The performance by a troupe of Brazilian samba dancers was wonderful as was the Magic Show. Also, the Indian lady who cleaned our room daily was so sweet and efficient.
I enjoyed the food, particularly the paella and the Chinese spring rolls that were on offer one lunchtime. The rose house wine was lovely and the restaurant appeared clean and tidy. The snacks they serve are good too.
The hotel is in a good location for shops, discos, bars etc and opposite the beach, accessible via a walkway. The train station is about 10 minutes walk away (Santa Susanna) and from there you can go to Barcelona for 9.80 Euros adult return. We did that trip and really enjoyed seeing the city. If you love art and shopping - you will enjoy Barcelona immensely.
The other trip worth doing is the Medieval and Flamenco night.
All in all, it is what you make it. Yes the hotel had some noisy guests who banged doors rather than closed them and shouted rather than talked but that could happen in any hotel. There were also a few kids who climbed furniture rather than sat on it, but that was down to the parents, not the fault of the hotel.
Really not that bad at all.

We arrived in early August as a group of 7 adults and 7 children. The girl on reception could not have been more professional. We were allocated 4 rooms on the top floor and this could have been better as there were only 2 lifts between customers and staff. The rooms were clean and well maintained, with fresh towels and linen. We booked all inclusive for 7 nights. The food was plentiful and as good as can be expected when catering for large numbers. On occasions it was not as hot as I would have liked and perhaps food warming mats or bay-marie type devices would have helped. The food was fresh and tasty. San is ( chips, hot dogs and burgers) were served outside of meal times and were plentiful. The hotel provided daily entertainment for children and the young lady co-ordinating it was excellent. Almost all the staff were polite and informative, the exception being a couple of bar staff who would either feign ignorance of a request or present a bored indifferent facade. But everyone is allowed a bad day( or week) and overall it was a good experience. The pool was nice, but smallish with limited seating and sunbed area. This was a good choice for a large family budget holiday and well worth considering.
If you desire a bigger outside seating area round the pool, a sister hotel, the hi top Planemar in Malgrat we mar ( less than a mile away) may be better.

We booked here in feb 22 for June , 3 days before flying out ( 13th June 2022) were told the hotel had gone into administration.
We were Offered an equal terrible other h-top . Spoke to a local at The opposite cafe Who told us this hotel has been closed for over 3 years and still takes money for bookings . She regularly sees families turn up to a closed hotel with suitcases .
We count ourselves lucky we had 3 days notice . Do not waste your money go elsewhere.

Hotel was very poor throughout especially the rooms air con is very poor and doesn't work at all ! The restaurant had moldy bread and the food was stone cold . The bedroom had mold on the ceiling and smelt like very bad drainage... the hotel staff was very rude towards you if you mentioned the smell and even stormed into my room to spray a whole bottle of air freshener and choked me out with it 😡

This hotel had the most disgusting food I’ve ever eaten in my life. Sometimes they didn’t even haf food so we needed to eat outside. The personal root in our bags to. The pictures on the internet was not the same in reality, exempel the pool looked much bigger than it actually was. Just bad

Can't fault the hotel or staff. OK rooms are a tad small but alright , cleaned every day. Good as a base . Unable to comment on the food as we were on a room only tariff. Great for what we paid, holiday is what you make it. If you want 5* then pay for it but for 3* I really recommend. It is what it is.

Just came home yesterday. Hotel is basic but clean. Looks like it's not been refurbished since the 90s though. I found the food to be nice and it seemed pretty healthy to me. Had some gorgeous salads. Staff are friendly and downstairs bartender Ebody makes awesome Sangria. ( This is coming from somebody that does not usually drink wine ). Overall a bit basic but definitely worth what you pay x
