We have just returned home from this hotel, 8 adults and 4 children. The rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were lovely and tried there best to accommodate our needs. The downside were the food and children's entertainment. As we had booked and paid for the family, we were looking forward to having family meals and time together, booked all inclusive and cost us just under £7000. However the food is limited and most nights the only choice was pasta for the children. The evening entertainment was a loud dj inside and no atmosphere. My suggestion would be for the hotel to use the upstairs open space to offer evening entertainment and to look at there other htop hotels who offer amazing evening entertainment for children and families. The pool area is small and was overcrowded some days and other days it was quiet. We did use the facilities of the htop royal sun which is located next to the beach and as a great family feel. If we were to return to Santa Susanna we would stay at the Htop Royal Sun but would not recommend the Htop Sun Suites for a family.

I was so nervous after reading the reviews for this hotel but now I'm convinced they were about another hotel. We had a great stay. We stayed half board. Family of 4. Breakfast and dinner were a buffet with plenty of choice for all 4 of us. Food was replenished quickly, always warm enough. Plenty of choices. Staff were always friendly, never stopped working! Different theme of food most nights which was nice. The pool are was bigger than I was expecting, with the bar being on the same level. Sometimes in the morning the pool area was busy but by 1pm most go off for lunch and it empties out for the afternoon. Great views from the rooftop too. The beach is a 10 minute walk. It's lovely, if a bit gravelly. Also, if you stay in the "sands" section on the beach, which is Infront of another HTop hotel, you can hire the beds and umbrella on the beach for a reduced price. Enquire at either HTop hotel and they'll help you.
The view of the mountains from the hotel is fab, unfortunately we couldn't see it from our room, and yes,It was noisy at night due to local entertainment, however this stopped at midnight. It wouldn't put us off staying here again. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

First time visit to Santa Susannah and very impressed. Hotel staff very friendly, rooms spacious. Close walk to the beach and use of facilities in 13 other nearby htop hotels. The only downside was a few whinging british tourists as not enough chips served! I would recommend this hotel and lots to do in surrounding area if you can be bothered

If I could give this place no stars I would . We originally booked for the htop summer sun hotel , but was told 2 days before it had gone into administration so was offered this place as an alternative telling us it was an upgrade . Once we arrived it turned out our original hotel we payed for had been closed for over 3 years and this hotel had opened the day we arrived . The pool is roof top and very small and crowded . The roof top pool bar was closed with no date of reopening . So we had to go 5 floors to the bar each time . We booked all inclusive , the restaurant is small with a small selection of food . I don’t expect a hotel abroad to cater for dietary requirements but a basic selection would have been nice . We were never offered drinks with our meal .
The afternoon ‘food’ consisted of stale sandwiches in the bar loosely covered in cling film .
I’m used to travelling basic , and have never bothered to leave a review before but we feel a bit let down with the service and overall quality of the place .
The hotel is very clean , the room was a missive apartment , but there was no cups/mugs or kettle so we couldn’t even make a coffee or tea let alone find one 5 floors down .
I understand covid has effected businesses , but basic stuff can and should be catered for .
Santa Susana is a nice place and we chose to eat and drink out of the hotel .

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was filthy. The bed was 2 singles pushed together we had to move rooms the first night as there was kids running up and down the hallway screaming and shouting and throwing stuff at the walls in the room next door. We went to talk to the person on reception and explained what was happening (it was 9.30 in the evening) he was very rude and said we can’t expect a kid to be silent (we didn’t expect children to be silent but we also didn’t expect them running up and down the corridor screaming shouting and the parents just letting them) they moved us to another room which was filthy mouldy 2 beds pushed together fridge was filthy floor was filthy and covered in hair the taps in the bathroom full of limescale, cracks in the ceiling and on the floor wallpaper damaged woodwork damaged. Staff were arrogant when we previously tied to complain and that made us not want to complain to reception I tried to complain through my app for love holidays but no one was ever available to speak. There was no kettle in the room. We put a complaint to the hotel when we got home for the hotel to respond that they disagree with our complaint and that they told us when we arrived that there was a kettle etc available for us to use that’s incorrect we asked and got told if we want a coffee etc we had to use the coffe machine which was 1.80 euro for not even a 200ml drink and for 2 days it didn’t work. We also used the bar bought drinks a female waitress brought our drinks we paid and she walked off with our change and didn’t bring it back. We felt intimidated by this as we only spoke English. I am taking my complaint further as when you see pictures of our room you will see why we were disappointed and for the hotel to say that the room was perfectly fine when it’s actually disgusting.

Horrible and disgusting, dingy hotel.

Food is the worst. Big dining area, no A/C, literally sweating while eating over cooked (re-heated at dinner time) very poor quality, cheap industrial prepackaged food. As if magic seems you are not in Spain but at 1970 army barrack slosh canteen.

Rooms are very basic, stink of old, furniture been around for half a century or so seems! I had a leak in the bathroom and it took them 2 days to "fix" it....their solution a couple of towels on the floor! Drip was coming out of a light fixture potentially very dangerous too.

Pools are small and often very overcrowded.

Location is good, beach is right outside hotel. Good thing there's also a bar where you can have a few drinks before going back into this horrible hotel.

Oh, I forgot they pride themselves to be a 4 star wonder. Outrageous!

We went to this hotel few year ago with my family, it was a life time holiday, we loved every moment the hotel was very clean at the time the pools warm and beautiful. The interior could benefit from a bit of refurb simple but workable.
Entertainment provided however not that great better than nothing, I would say.

The food is a total selling point for this hotel, if you are a fish lover this is the place to be...holy grail! the food was excellent love, love.

The beach walking distance 5-8 minutes away amazing. Guys the communal area around was beautiful! every evening we would dress up and go out street walking, every evening. The street were pack with tourist and entertainment, street venders, beautiful local stores ha.. ladies if you like to shop or window shop, yes Santa Susanna is the place to be, the energy was amazing. It was also free to sit down and join in with other hotels for entertainments which was unforgettable which i can still remember awesome.

On top of that there was a FUNFAIR RIDES FOR KIDS within close proximity to the hotels.
There was also a tour guide train provided not by the hotel but within the tourist communal area that took us up on the hillside in the residential area to view a small out skirt of the community it was phenomenal, this memory never leaves me.
I truly adores and appreciate every thing.

Lastly the water fountain as seen in the pictures, yes, yes if you love water like me taking our bath at stand pie and in rivers holy-hills this is the place to be...me and my family thoroughly loved and had enjoy the water fountain so much.

This is a hotel I would definitely return to. Shalom

From arriving at this hotel to today waiting to leave we have had a fabulous time.
The staff throughout the hotel are friendly and make you feel welcome.
Special thanks go to Oscar and Marco on the bar, Anna on reception and Paco in the restaurant.
The immaculate rooms were cleaned daily and beds made.
The towels were as fresh as you wanted them to be with the option of change daily should you wish.
We stayed all inclusive and there was something to eat for every taste in the buffet style dining room.
The rooftop pool was cold but refreshing with plenty of sunbeds and umberellas available.
The is also a pool bar with ample seating but this was not available during our stay.
All in all we have had a fabulous time at this hotel and would definitely recommend.

This hotel is terrible, money waste better add few hundreds and find another.

The cleaning is poor only beds tidy up and towels changed nothing else ,even no 1 bottle of water at the room there is fridge but empty.

We purchased all inclusive and didn’t expect what we get.

Food : medium quality always cold ,hotel crew are fantastic and so friendly. Once beer finished they won’t be able to tell you when will be delivered so I think logistic is not perfect all need to be organised properly.
