Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We really enjoyed our stay here the weather has been awful so the pub next door was ideal to keep my son entertained as they has a pool table, Tv and a karaoke night, we thought the campsite is good value for money as we bought the non electric grass pitch it also has free wifi. The campsite is not far from the local shops and restaurants and a bus stop a few steps away. The only negative when the lady was cleaning the showers and toilets I asked her if she would like me to come back after she has finished cleaning, the lady said it is ok you can use the first shower as it has just been cleaned but when I went in there was hairs in the shower. We would come back again we didn't want to leave.

We stayed for a week on a fully serviced pitch which was hard standing & flat. It was pitch 3 & very good.
The site is a 5 minute walk into Porthleven which is beautiful, and there is a pub on site. The pub is quirky to say the least & not everyone’s cup of tea, although the regulars were friendly.
The site amenities were very basic & could be upgraded.
The elsan point is ok but the gents toilets are shared with the pub and are pretty run down. The shower room has 3 good sized cubicles with great overhead power showers but they also could do with some TLC.
Several time during our stay, we noticed motorhomes & camper and pull up on the car park next door (£2 for all day) but not bother to pay & then come onto the site & sneak a free shower, before leaving quickly before they were spotted.

We stayed here in October with our motorhome for two nights. The site was almost empty so it was fairly quiet apart from the building site between the site and the road. Showers were clean and plenty of hot water. Great location for walking the coast path and exploring Porthleven. However, we felt £30 a night in the Autumn was a bit expensive compared to other sites we have stayed at. We would definitely return but would hope to see a slight reduction in the price!

We stayed for 2 nights. 3 familys, friends and young children. We were one tent and 2 campers with awnings.

The site is basic, but that was fine for us with the choice of electric hook up.
The toilets and showers were clean and well presented. I Only used the toilets because getting a bit grubby is half the fun of camping isn't it!?

Washing up station with cold water and a bin area, which were cleaned and emptied daily.

We were very lucky to have fantastic weather so we walked to the beach (20mins away) swam in the sea and had a pub lunch in the town.

The kids ran wild for 2 days enjoying the fresh air and open space.

A fab break had by all! 😁

Basic site, website pictures showed a much nicer campsite than it actually was. Access to campsite via a pay & display public car park, with a burnt out caravan near the entrance doesn’t look good or appearing when you arrive.

I chose not to have EHU and got placed in a tiny area of the site, which had dog poo and uncut grass. It appear to be a dog walking area, not proper pitches as didn’t have pitch numbers either. Campsite is also near a fairly busy road, so traffic noise particularly at night made it difficult for a peaceful rest.

Facilities were average, showers were hot but difficult to control temperature. Plus poor water pressure at times. Not great access if you have poor mobility or disabilities as stairs to both the gents and ladies toilet/shower block.

Overall wouldn’t recommend this site and will not be booking to go again.

We stayed one night in our campervan, the staff were friendly and good to explore the area. We were on the lower field closest to the road so you could hear a lot of traffic, the higher field might be nicer. We were packed in close to other campers compared to other campsites we've stayed in during peak season. Facilities need to be updated to justify £35 w/ electric.

Great little campsite, clean and tidy, pitches were plenty big enough ( we stayed in the bottom field). The on-site pub was friendly with pool and darts ( would have been nice if they did food/ bar snacks) but they did let you order take out from wherever you wanted and eat in the pub so that was ok.
My only gripe was the male toilets being shared with the pub goers I imagine on a weekend evening it gets pretty messy and also only 2 toilets there for the pub and campsite . The showers were nice and clean and hot. All in all pretty good place to stay even better if the toilet situation was sorted

We only stayed for 2 nights, touring in our motorhome, fully serviced pitch. Pub onsite if wanted, very clean toilets with lovely hot showers. Beautiful location, short walk into the lovely town with a great variety of small shops and cafe/restaurants.

Great site, excellent location, clean facilities and generous hardstanding pitches. Camping looked flat too.

Walkable to the harbour, the pubs are great, dog friendly. Walk to Loe Bar beach, great for dogs or cycle around loe bar lake to Helston.

I’m on site now and interested to know why I couldn’t choose my pitch ? It’s not full ?
The site is unkempt .. pitches full of weeds ! Very poor and unkempt . So disappointing.
The showers are tired .. rusty old radiator looks dirty and impossible to keep clean in this condition ! Too expensive for the poor state it’s in .. very very poor
