Just back from our 2and visit to these apartments and already planning next years short break. No matter how long you stay it will never be long enough, beautiful and luxurious apartment with everything you need including Alexa! These Apartments are so close to the town and the sea front and with adjustable under floor heating they are cosy warm if you dine in. I cannot recommend enough, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable beds, you cant go wrong. Floor to ceiling windows with fantastic views and wrap around balcony on both levels of apartment 3. See you next year and thank you Emma for your help in changing our arrival dates, professional and so helpful and friendly, what a star you are!
This is our second - and doubtless not our last - visit to the Riviera Apartments, Teignmouth. We booked Apartment 1, which has outstanding views directly out to sea and also over towards Shaldon. The accommodation is perfectly positioned: less than a minute to town, less than a minute to the beach and about five minutes to the railway station. Standards are high. The apartment was spotless upon arrival and all facilities advertised were present and in good working order. Our little welcome gift of a lemon cake (I perk of booking direct, I believe) was lovely and much appreciated. The wrap-around balcony was large and afforded space for outdoor dining and sunbathing. The balcony was in the sun throughout the day, although a bit of relocating sunbeds etc. was necessary to take advantage of this. Seagulls were not really a problem, and the owner does offer to clean the balcony during your stay if they do cause any mess. The kitchen was well equipped. Hob, double oven, fridge, freezer, dish washer (washing machine available in utility room within the apartment) etc. Full range of glasses, cutlery, utensils, cookware and crockery provided. Bedrooms were comfortable and had access to the wrap-around balcony. Wall mounted flat screen TVs were in each bedroom. The main bathroom was well-sized, with the en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom somewhat smaller, but still fully usable. The lounge / dining area has great views and had access to the balcony. The TV was large, with DVD and surround sound. A comfortable sofa made it a pleasure to watch a movie whilst seeing the sunset through the floor to ceiling windows. Internet access was fast and reliable. We love Teignmouth! For our family it is perfect - small and friendly, but with enough shops and services to cater to our needs. The Den is great - always something going on. There is a play ground and small water splash area about two minutes from the Rivera Apartments and the arts pavilion is on the doorstep. The back beach area is where most activity happens; a few lively pubs, good restaurants and a watersports centre for the more adventurous. Out and About: Shaldon is just a quick ferry ride away and is nice for a stroll and bite to eat. The gardens are a bit of a climb, but offer a lovely view back across to Teignmouth. Further afield there are Torquay, Paignton, Dawlish, Dawlish Warren, Exeter and Exmouth - all worth a visit. Each is very different and getting there is easy. Roads are good, although we preferred to take the train - e.g. price to Dawlish worked out at £2.40 return per person with a groupsave discount from the station. Overall, this was a very relaxing holiday and we will no doubt return to the Riviera Apartments.…
Just come back from a fantastic week at the Riviera Apartments. Love it here, standards are always high, communication is always first rate, little improvements are made from visit to visit so you feel the difference. Amazon Alexa now present, WiFi for each apartment so no delays in streaming or keeping in touch with the outside world. Everything is organised, welcome pack of dishwasher tablets, milk, home baked cake, coffee, tea and sugar just make the first impressions so right. The views are to die for, this week was made even more special with it being the carnival week. Live music most nights, activities on the Den everyday lots of which can be watched from the balcony. Still mourn The Beachcomber closing. Losing Waitrose is not great either but other than that Teignmouth has it all, a super promenade, the pier, beach which is big enough to play with the family on, eateries to suit all palettes and safe enough for you to relax and unwind. We will be back!…
This was our second stay for my mother and I. We just love the appartment and the position. The standard of the rooms, decor, kitchen facilities and views are excellent. Not only that but Emma and her team are also so welcoming, helpful and friendly. The weather has been good on the whole so we have had chance to explore Teignmouth and the surrounding areas. There is a lot to see around here with interesting individual shops. We even managed to see the red arrows on their way over the sea to Torbay airshow . Thanks again Emma for a lovely week, hope to see you next year. Judith
Just had a nice 3nt break in penthouse no 3. This is the third year running we have stayed at these apartments and we have always had a great time. You cannot find fault with any of the penthouses always clean and with everything you need, now you even have Alexa to play with. Lovely lemon cake waiting for us on arrival, thanks Emma. Will be booking again.
