Brunswick House is a family-run guest house offering bed and breakfast accommodation in the heart of Teignmouth. Situated in the town's Arts Quarter between the back beach and the seafront it is the perfect base to explore the town and further afield. Guests can expect a warm welcome and delicious range of breakfast options using locally-sourced ingredients. While the accommodation might be described as 'kitsch' - think traditional seaside B&B, all rooms are en-suite with power showers, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water and biscuits, TVs and free WiFi. A full refurbishment is scheduled to take place early in 2020.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very friendly and professional. Jo has made a brilliant success of this business and we felt very well looked after. She helped us with planning our onward journey round the Coast Path, which was very helpful.

Excellent location, friendly host, but our small double room was not good, far too small for a double bed. Certainly only suitable for either 1 adult, or 2 small children. We booked and paid for 2 nights, but left after a very nice breakfast on day 2 after a very uncomfortable first night, especially as it was mid June, with a heavyweight duvet on our bed.

Two very comfortable nights sleep in a great location near the shops and beach. Good breakfast too and accommodated our early start as we needed to catch a bus and had a long walk along the South West Coast path which handily this B&B is close to.

The location of the bed and breakfast is very good - just a few minutes walk to the seafront. The room we had featured a very comfortable bed. The room was a fair size. The breakfast had a good choice. The bathroom is a bit on the small side. It is quite similar to other seaside B&B's that we've stayed in. The owner gave us some good tips. The price was quite good, considering the steep rise in B&B costs recently. One thing to consider in this part of Devon is that there is very little street parking so you do have to use the car parks or pay on the esplanade. It is free after 18:00 but in some parts you have to pay after 09:00; in others you have 2 hours after 08:00 so can park there until 22:00. Not a reflection on the B&B, but worth taking into account when planning your visit. We would definitely consider staying here again.
