Friendly landlord and other pub occupants on arrival was a great start! We tried the drinks and food that and loved it - apart from my wife's burger being pink in the centre. Admittedly we did not give the hotel an opportunity to address that problem - probably as we were too tired after travelling for many hours. Lots of... More

Very good Bed & Breakfast , stayed there for one night while the family camped at Wareham Campsite, great room and great breakfast. Would use again. As an older couple did not fancy camping so cheated and stayed in comfort.

Just stopped for Sunday chance on the off chance. It was very busy, but they managed to squeeze my wife and I. Service was good, the food was excellent and the price was reasonable. I would recommend this pub.

Stayed here for one night between two other holidays. What a wonderful place. The room was enormous, as was the bed and the feel was homely and welcoming. Dinner was "Curry Night" (awesome) out on the patio in utter serenity. Breakfast was great and the staff couldn't do enough. WELL DONE!

We've just recently returned from a 3 night stay at the Royal Oak in Bere Regis. This small (3 guest room) pub offers a fantastic base from which to explore the attractions of Dorset. We were in room 3, which was a large king-size room with en-suite bathroom. Room was well maintained with nice furniture, tea/coffee making facilities etc. Whilst... More

A shame we only stayed one night as it was the largest room I have ever seen! Lovely food (we were lucky enough to arrive on curry night), and with so many outside dining options we were able to find a quiet, romantic spot. Would definitely return!

My husband and I stayed at the inn for several nights in July. The inn keeper, Janette, was so friendly and accommodating. She went the extra mile to create delicious culinary delights for my husband, who is gluten free. I can't say enough about how grateful we are. We would love to go back and enjoy a stay at the... Stayed in room one and it was absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, nicely decorated. Very comfortable (which you need after a 5 hour drive!) Friendly staff, good ale in the bar, lovely fresh breakfast.

Nice, friendly staff and locals who were very informative with regard to places to go and see close by,. Food in the evening was good with a range to choose from. I dont like a big cooked breakfast so plumped for scrambled eggs on toast which I thoroughly enjoyed.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in July. The room was very clean and comfortable and well decorated apart from the windows.Unfortunately they dont serve food on Monday evenings and we were directed to The Drax Arms up the road where we had a lovely meal. Had we have known beforehand we would have eaten on the way... More
