After staying at the Rubens in London over New Year it was a coincidence that we ended up at the Acorn which is in the same Red Carnation group. We came here on a dinner, bed and breakfast deal for £370 for a Friday and Saturday night (we have reviewed the dinners seperately). The Inn is in a lovely location...

Old fashioned set up but clean and tidy rooms with a Modern tv and bathroom. Staff could not have been more helpful. A touch pricey for a mid January night in Dorset - other than that perfect. Breakfast was of a high quality.

We went to the Acorn Inn for a weekend break and were not disappointed. We actually booked a cheaper double room but were given a four-poster (yeaaay!!). The lady who greeted us was very nice and somehow managed to fit us in for afternoon tea at the Summer Lodge (across the road). That place was just worth for a look...

Just stayed at the Acorn Inn for 3 nights with our dog . The staff were all clearly dog lovers so didn't just tolerate him but made a fuss of him as well. It made the stay very easy and relaxing . The room was characterful and lovely . We ate there every evening and the food both at dinner...

Stayed for a night in this old Inn. Rooms a bit tight, especially with a ruddy great tutor four poster in it! Has a pub side and a hotel side. Food and drink excellent in both. Had the back barn open to watch the rugby on big screen which was good, especially because it did not impinge. Very quirky and...
