Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's not so much a bunk hut but a house with bunk beds. Great lounge with loads of sofas, a well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds with fluffy blankets and three toilets. Remote location but walking distance to the pub and railway station. Really worth the money.

What an absolute gem. One of our Dates Way highlights. We stayed in The Den where we had our own bathroom, lounge, kitchen, comfy beds and patio. Spotlessly clean. TV and wood-burner were lovely bonuses. Katie bought our groceries for breakfast and packed lunch. Only a mile from the Dales Way and nearby Station Inn (where we enjoyed a hearty dinner and warm welcome). Also enjoyed the well sign-posted short-cut across the fields to Gauber avoiding the main road. Excellent location for a Dales Way stop over, Yorkshire three Peaks and visit to Ribblehead Viaduct. Perfect dark, night skies provided wonderful star-gazing. Will definitely return.

A group of (16) us booked out the barn and den at this fabulous accommodation. Even though the weekend was a complete washout in terms of the weather, we had such a great time because of how Katie & Jon, our hosts took care of us. We have stayed at the accommodation before so we already knew about the greatly facilities it has, all the mod cons you need and lovely cosy log fires. On the actual route of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, overlooking the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. We had wanted to have a bar-b-q but it rained all day, when we spoke to Jon about this, he went out of his way to purchase a tarpaulin sheet and put it up securely for us. In short you simply can not get better accommodation on or near the Yorkshire 3 Peaks but what makes your stay exceptional is the hospitality and kindness provide by Jon and Katie. See you next year.......

Superb place to stay. Extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. Just a great find ! We were using this as our base for our group charity walk for Lindsey Lodge Hospice in Northern Lincolnshire. Communication from the beginning to the end was superb from Katie.

The Den was perfect and had everything we needed for three adults on the Dales Way walk. We were tired and wet and the Den was warm, clean and cosy - especially once we lit the stove. The arrangement for collecting shopping (even gluten-free items for our coeliac team member) so that we could cook ourselves food was particularly appreciated - so we didn’t need to carry any extra weight of supplies - or venture back out in the rain for the extra mile walk to the pub! Loved the setup - and no doubt the location is even more pretty when the sun is out!

We stayed in the Den and it was a great little place, smaller than we were expecting but that didn't matter, it had everything you needed and enough space. The hosts were so lovely and the views were great. Only half a mile from a lovely pub. There is no mobile phone signal, but there isn't a mobile phone signal anywhere near by but the place does have great wifi. It is right next to the Yorkshire three peaks, so a great location. One of the best bits of the Den was closing the "curtains" at night - they are large barn doors.

A very cosey, clean and well looked after bunkhouse. Our party was 13 in the end so we used both the Bunk Barn and the Den. The bunkbeds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed if a little cramped when everyone is trying to make sandwiches. The wood burning stove provides a nice focus in the common room. Well done to John and Katie for taking so much trouble.

Spent 2 nights (there were 4 of us, all women) in this sweet little den. Everything you needed. The hosts were lovely and kept reiterating how small it was. Very cute with excellent fibre broadband. Exactly what we were expecting and more. Shower was just what the Dr ordered after doing the 3 Peaks. Warm, cosy and clean. Perfect location for starting at Whernside nr the Station Inn pub. Thank you for a wonderful break, would definitely stay again.

Well, what can I say other than this place was perfect for our party of 10 people! 3 generations of family visited here last weekend to celebrate my father's 70th birthday. The booking process was straightforward and easy and we received a very warm welcome to the barn. Our online shopping had arrived before we did and it had even been unpacked and put away for us! How lovely is that? When we arrived a roaring fire was going which made for a very cosy welcome. We were treated to a lovely little welcome pack too. The barn had everything and more! Extemely clean and tidy, really good quaility furnishings too. The enclosed garden at the back was a big hit with the children who really enjoyed looking at the lambs in the field beyond. The local pub is only a 15 minute walk away. We visited White scar caves and did the Ingelton waterfalls walk. All in all a fab weekend! Would we stay here again......in a heartbeat! Thank you.

Perfect accommodation for a romantic getaway. We stayed in the den which was cozy and had everything we needed including a log fire. Hosts were great and helped light the fire when we struggled! Lots of great walks nearby and would definitely stay again!
