Travellers' Choice
We are a traditional Country Inn located 1/2 of a mile from Ingleton and just 6 miles away from Kirkby Lonsdale. We have 11 guest bedrooms, two of which have four poster beds, one twin bedroom and three family bedrooms, the rest are doubles but some can be twins. We are ideally located for the those doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks or visiting the White Scar Caves and Ingleton Waterfalls. All of our food is prepared freshly on site and in most cases reared on our local farm. We pride ourselves in providing field to fork produce. For those Ale drinkers we have 8 Cask Ale hand pulls, which during the busy season we try and have all 8 on. During the quieter months this is not always possible. We have a selection of over 60 gins too! For those winter months we have two roaring log burning stoves in the bar and for the Summer months we have two lovely beer gardens, one out the front of the hotel looking over St Oswalds Church and one out the back looking over open fields.

Visited initially pre COVID for Sunday Lunch and wanted to come back for a second visit when in the area. Evening menu had plenty of choice, nicely presented did not disappoint. Lovely ambience and decor throughout.

Had a pleasant stay at the Marton Arms on the way to the Lake District. The room was comfortable with a large bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The staff are very helpful and friendly on arrival and throughout the stay. A cooked to order breakfast in the dining area along with tea, coffee pastries etc I had booked an evening meal too which was very nice. There is plenty of parking outside and the area is very quiet. Would be happy to stay again.

The food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced for what it was. For starter I had squid, which was lovely and for main I had the chicken caesar salad, the chicken was sous vide, but had a crispy skin. The flavour and the texture was amazing and was without a doubt the best chicken breast I have ever had. The cep pasta was also delicious with an luxurious creamy sauce, which had truffle in it, but it wasn't overwhelming. Every one else also loved their meals. The decor and atmosphere were perfect. My only slight criticism would be that the descriptions on the menu, didn't do the actual meals justice!

Visited Marton Arms end of August for a dual birthday celebration. Lovely character establishment just outside Ingleton . Heather was an amazing host - I paid for Prosecco and flowers to be put in my girlfriend’s room and Heather organised everything. The room was comfortable and to a high standard and the meal was amazing . I complimented the chef personally the next morning . Also breakfast was beautiful, however felt we were a burden as we had to ask for basics , that had run out , to be replenished . All in all would definitely come again . Ian
