After a 6 hour drive stuck in traffic on a Sunday evening, travelling for a meeting on Monday morning, the next thing you need is a nice clean comfortable room to sleep. In fairness the lady who ran the place waited for us and checked us in, but nothing on the street was open , and she didnt even offer...

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the staff were very friendly and helpful and location was excellent but the hotel needs to be completely over hauled. Our room was for three people and when we arrived there was only two single beds and a pull out couch which had not been made up, we had...

After a day of blocked drains and a broken washing machine, my husband, two children and I, went to the Kings Arms and Royal Hotel in Godalming; mainly so my husband could watch the football. As we were there we decided to have dinner, we chose the roast, one pork, one lamb and two chicken. When the food came out,...

The staff were great BUT: The shower did not provide hot water. On mentioning this to the staff, I was told that a previous guest had also complained and they would get the manager to look at it. No good to me as I was only staying one night. Did not dine there because of the horrible pub atmosphere. Breakfast...

Mouldy shower , badly stained carpet , poor breakfast , the bread and coffee were good ,but the rest of breakfast...

We are here this evening, the food was terrible, tepid in temperature and in taste. No one courtesy checked our meal, if they had we would have offered put feedback in person. This was the worst meal we have both eaten in a long time.

I stayed at this hotel in 2001, at about 1:30am I had the tv and light on, and had the most petrified feeling that had ever entered my body. I hid for 4 hours under my blankets, rationalized my feelings. But there was a presence in my room. No Joke!

Had a good stay. Clean, but small room with renovated bathroom. No AC and it was unseasonably warm, so I purchased a fan locally. Good breakfast included. Very reasonably priced. Close to train station and bus stop. Easy access to London, Portsmouth, Salisbury. Helpful friendly staff. Would stay again.

Very old building and quite quirky but sadly let down by cleanliness. Main stair cases to our room looked grubby and were quite smelly, but we over looked that as is an old building. We had room 17 which looked dated when we arrived early evening and we were very disapointed, at £89 a night, it's not cheap. First impression...

Best night out in a long time, perfect evening, staff and meals great and fabulous service all round - 10/10 for food, service and cleanliness. Would definitely recommend a visit if you happen to be visiting Godalming soon. Nothing negative to say at all - all positive. Really cannot fault anything at all.
