I stayed here with my partner at the beginning of October whilst working away. Thankfully we were only here for 2 days, this place is horrendous!!! It looks so pretty from the outside however as we were shown into our room ( number 4 on the bottom floor) we were hit with a smell of mould and damp, and the...

We visited on Friday evening no problem getting in lots of empty tables. Only 2 girls left to run the pub and restaurant. Service was fine drinks served and order taken. Had to ask 3 times a jug of water probably because the bar was busy. Food was excellent I had probably the best burger in the area my wife...

You are right, we have had a couple of staffing problems that I am dealing with and I am finding it hard to split my time at the moment, for your info, I am not the manager and the manager usually works on Friday nights...

My wife and I just spent five nights at the inn. The decor is good in the main inn and the cottage rooms were very old but nice. We had the continental breakfast which was good. The staff were very helpful especially after complaining about suffering three nights of misery with someone in an upstairs room walking up and down...

Needed to be in Guildford a couple of days so decided to stay here as it looked very nice. The reception guy was brilliant and helpful. The accommodation on the other hand is in the building away from the main building. This building was looking very tired when I approached it – despite the lovely oak beams it wasn’t well...

Thank you for your review! We are in the process of doing a refurbishment project to the letting rooms (room 4 completed) Outside all rubbed down and ready for painting which will be completed shortly. The sound that you could hear was a hot water pump that was replaced the day after you noticed it. A complementary continental type breakfast...

I stayed at the Squirrel a few years ago, and thought it fine for a reasonably priced overnight stay. The pub looks as if it had some money spent on it, so it is rather smart. Staff seemed a bit miserable but they were polite. The rooms, in an adjacent building have either gone downhill or my memory was playing...

Stayed here for two nights as we were going to Festival of Speed. First impression of the bar and restaurant was good, good atmosphere and smart decor. We were then escorted to the cottage building across the car park to our room, up a very dodgy twisty staircase. The room was large enough but very basic furniture. The toilet was...

Dear HPsaucy, I am absolutely distraught after reading your review, especially after the huge amount of time and effort that I have spent training the staff in all the aspects of room bookings and looking after our guests and cleaning all of our rooms to the edges.
