Unfortunately couldn't get in on the Friday night because of a major tribute band event next door at the Picturedrome, was amazed I managed to get in on the Saturday. The rates here, as per the rest of the town are enormously dictated by local events! So book early if you know there's something on, not just the music but there areother festivals in Holmfirth throughout the year. The location of this hotel couldn't be more central to the town, it is superb and lovely to sit outside during warmer climes. Also coffee and full restaurant facility here. Had a late Sunday roast dinner via room service, which although later on in the day did not compromise its excellent quality, portion size more than ample! It is so lovely to be able to stay here and amble easily around Holmfirth because of its faultless location. They even looked after my luggage for me for a couple of hours on the ensuing Monday after checking out, at no cost. I'm afraid I can't comment on car parking there as I don't drive, there is parking but I don't know what the arrangements are, it's such a busy spot. Easy sign-in to Wifi in room and little desk to sit at.

Stop dogs from walking over the upholstery and sitting on the cushions bringing muddy feet and bare genitals into contact with places that humans want to sit and above all, drink, eat and be able to hear each other above the barking!
When I pointed out to a member of staff that she had just re located a cushion that a dog had been sitting on, I realised I had put her in a position of not knowing what to do..... she eventually took it away, probably to satisfy me, but I bet nothing was done to it before replacing it later.
Dogs shouldn’t be allowed in a place serving food and allowed by their owners to interfere with others trying to eat, drink and talk. “He’s only being friendly, saying hello” does NOT make me any more friendly and to see it sitting and walking along seating meant for customers to sit, eat and drink, is disgraceful and in hygienic on your part. You are allowing dogs in and not controlling them or your hygiene
It’s a major shame because absolutely everything else about The Old Bridge Inn is top quality, why up till this week we have stayed and eaten many times before. Enjoying our stay and singing your praises.
I was also not too pleased at being charged £6 for 2 slices of toast for my breakfast and another £6 for my wife’s 1 bowl of cereal.........
Other than that...... 😃👍

The staff are some of the most helpful and friendly we have encountered. Our room was small but perfectly formed with all you would need for your stay and cleaned to a very high standard. The hotel is in a perfect location for the Holme valley with all the shops, restaurants and bars near by without being in a large town but with Huddersfield being only a 15/20 minute bus or car ride away.

We checked in at 2.57pm & were told our room might not be ready as we were early, check in was 3pm & it took the receptionist more than 3 minutes to locate our booking. When I asked about parking facilities I was greeted with a shrug & 'I don't really know'. We went for breakfast, the waitress showed us to our table, wiped crumbs & debris from the previous diners with the back of her hand onto the floor!
But the best part was BEING CHARGED TWICE! After several phone calls made by me, one of which was to the manager Liam, and being told several times by various colleagues that it's impossible for the hotel to charge me twice, even implying I'd booked 2 rooms in different names & was paying for both!?! I then had to send proof that they had charged me twice as they were quite adamant that I hadn't! They eventually agreed that I had indeed been charged twice, but they didn't know how so refunded me!!!

Twin room (20) at rear of property overlooking passageway giving access to bars and causes amplification of noise from the bars as exampled the night of England playing Ukraine. The room was also hot, probably why there is a fan in the room. The only reason we could see for this was the room is over the kitchen area.
The bathroom was spotless and a credit to the domestic staff.
Breakfast was very good with a comprehensive choice. Dinner at the hotel was also very good again with a good choice menu.
The criticism, if there is to be any, is the price of alcoholic drinks, whilst not itemising what we had we see this as a valid point.
The access to the hotel car park was a challenge to find but just bear in mind the hotel and the car park entrance are on the same side on the river. Parking is free but not secure, being on motorcycles this could be an issue.
I have marked down the sleep quality for two reasons, the hot room and the noise until late into the night.
I have marked down the value due to the cost of the drinks when compared to other pubs in the area
The location is central Holmfirth cant improve on that

Overall the hotel is good, however, there are no ground floor rooms, therefore all rooms are located on three upper floors with the only access being stairs. As expected in a hotel, bar drinks ere a tad expensive, in the restaurant it was £21.00 for a supermarket quality wine. On the positive, the location is spot on, the breakfast ,was excellent, we paid to have our evening meal at the hotel, £15.00 for a very dry burger with no sauce, however, my partner had the gammon dish at the same price, which was lovely.

We stayed at the Bridge inn overnight and were made very welcome, the room was very clean and well equipped with everything you might need including a cofffee pod machine with coffees. The Bed was comfortable, the location is central with parking. Food was very good, particularly the breakfast choices and quality. there was a period of noise in the street late in the evening that woke us but is one of those things when you stay in a town centre location. I would use the bridge inn again but maybe not at weekends.

I visited recently with other family members for a 2 night stay.We had 3 rooms. All were slightly different and on the small side but very clean and had everything we needed including complimentary bottled water which was changed daily! The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well.
We enjoyed both food and drinks at the hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location and the price was very good during our dates. I would definitely stay again and will recommend to friends.

We booked a double room but were allocated a twin . I raised this as an issue and to be fair the manager offered to have the beds pushed together, but we decided against. We were offered a complimentary bottle of wine from wine list at dinner for any convenience , which I thought was a nice touch.
The room was on the small side and at the rear of the hotel but was clean, comfortable and more than adequate for our needs
We only dined in one evening and the menu was varied and good value. Breakfast was excellent.

We recently stayed the night.
We arrived in Holmfirth around mid-day and were told our rooms were not available until 3pm......at 3:15 we eventually got our keys.
The hotel is very well situated and very close to places to visit for fans of The Last of The Summer Wine.
We booked and styed in Room 27 which is the room at the front with a nice balcony.
We paid £123.50 for the room and must say although the room was nice we have stayed in much better for the same or less price elsewhere.
The bed was comfortable and it has a nice large en-suite too.
The noise from the floor above and their footsteps is very loud.
The Bar area is very nice and has a very good choice of drinks....The Tetley Cask Ale was very good and reasonably priced.
We booked a table for the evening meal and we were very impressed with the menu and the quality and portions of food when it arrived.
I had Pie of the Day and my wife had Steak (See Pics)
Breakfast was very nice and plentiful but we had to pay for this and again it made the price we paid for the room more un-realistic.
Overall we enjoyed the hotel....just pricey for its room quality. (Food and Drink where excellent)
We would return though !
