Walked here from Alford yesterday. Warm welcome and immediate attention by cheerful and friendly waitress. Beautiful river view from table (had it been warmer, we could have sat outside on the patio) Delicious meal served in no time - well presented, tasty home-cooking with extraordinary large portions! We were given the offer of having what we couldn't eat, boxed to...

Dropped in by for a coffee and cake. Inside was cold and not welcoming at all. Took ages to get served and not busy. It sounded like Loud Locals in the bar next to the lounge part who couldnt string a sentence without a swear word. Eventually got a cup of coffee and tea and a very dry tasteless scone....

We were on route and found this pleasant hotel. We were happy with the room, and had a pleasant meal. The only minor upset was the attitude of the woman serving breakfast. The room was empty apart from one other couple, so we sat by the window ( which does have great views ) On seeing us there we were...

On our way to Kildrummy castle, we stopped here for lunch. We were seated in a sunny inside porch. My sister and I both had big salads….excellent. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. While eating, we were treated to a beautiful view of the gardens and bridge

Sometimes it's nice to be amongst others and especially in a conservatory. Menu was limited 3 choices of starters. So no one had. Few basic choices for mains and 4 choices for pudding....

My husband and I stopped in for our evening meal on Saturday 29th August, we were there just after 5.00, when the meals start, the public bar was busy and there was only one member of bar staff trying to serve two bars a thankless task for the very pleasant young lady. We sat in the bar for our meal...

Having passed this establishment on numerous occasions, we finally popped in for Sunday lunch. We were greeted by a very pleasant lady and shown to our seats. All good so far, and on ordering a few minutes later we were pleased with both the main menu and the 'specials' for the day. The food , I has roast beef and...

OK So it might have been an off day but here is the script. I booked Sunday lunch here so as I could take my elderly housebound parents out for a run and a nice meal. There were four of us.First we were given the menus and told of the 'Special'. So far so good. The restaurant was not busy...
