Welcoming and accommodating staff. Modern, compact, comfortable room perfect for a business trip. Great breakfast and excellent food in the restaurant with sky sports and BT. Hub of the town, good, friendly atmosphere
We had the most amazing time at The Haughton Arms this afternoon! The birthday afternoon tea for 26 was delicious! Sheila and Phobe were so friendly and looked after us so well ! Definitely recommend!
We had a lovely weekend in Alford staying at the Haughton Arms. Really nice friendly service, lovely room, lively bar, good food and an excellent breakfast (try the Stornoway black pudding). I'm sure we will be back there again. Good to see local hotels getting back on their feet. Many thanks to the staff
We stayed 1 night in this hotel. The room was small but cosy. The bathroom was clean, but oh dear, it smelled so so strong of chemical products and the smell would not go away even with the window of the room open. This was not very pleasant. We could not dine in in the evening, as the restaurant was fully booked. We did not find the staff very friendly or very knowledgeable throughout our stay. So this was a shame. We were told by one member of staff that we could have breakfast with our dog in the morning, but the following morning, when we arrived in the breakfast room, we were told dogs were not allowed so had to leave our dog in the room.
Not much of a hotel. Welcome, we’re open, come in says the sign. But don’t walk in on a sunny lunchtime and ask for 2 Coffees. Apparently after 3 staff with worried faces asked each other, this is something this hotel can’t manage. Disappointing.
Went for a Sunday lunch, ordered lunch and waited.. friend turned up with his dog and was asked to leave as to many dogs in the bar.. (only my dog in the bar) However a poodle that came in after was welcome.. Left hand not speaking to the right hand.. dog friendly or not???? Dog limit???
Stayed here whilst visiting family, loved the hotel, staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough for the visitors. Lovely comfortable bed and great food. Everywhere is very clean and good shower. Just booking to stay again for two nights this time.
Had lunch today and cannot fault anything. From the moment we arrived and needed assistance for disabled person to the moment we left, service was exceptional. Food was piping hot and delicious and delivered quickly. Surroundings most inviting with a cosy fire in the middle of the tastefully refurbished Bar. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you Ivan and Team
We stayed here for a mid week overnight stay having never been here previously or to the area we were a bit nervous of what to expect . However, we needn’t have been as it was a perfect choice. From our arrival to departure it was a pleasure . The staff especially Sheila were most friendly, informative and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Our room was super clean , comfortable and wanted for nothing. The hotel has undergone a most in keeping makeover which must have cost a fortune , but well worth it . And last but not least , the food was superb we had dinner which was lovely and the breakfast well it was probably the best we have ever had and cooked to perfection and again the staff were most attentive, friendly and kind. We couldn’t recommend this hotel enough and will certainly be returning. Thanks Sheila and staff for making us feel so welcome and all your hard work it’s definitely appreciated !…
Had lunch with a friend today, super tasty sandwiches...we'll definitely be back, staff as mentioned in previews so friendly....lovely decor throughout and toilets spotless...can't fault it,highlyrecommended.😃👍
