Steve and Sarah are friendly an welcoming. The accomodation is very clean and comfortable, the shower room was spotless and the towels were white, fluffy and changed every...

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Rowanbank. The accommodation was excellent and the owners, Steve and Sarah Johnston, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We wholeheartedly recommend the accommodation.

We have just returned from a week’s holiday in Scotland combining visits to relatives and pursuing our favourite pastime of playing golf. We stayed one night at this B&B. Admittedly we made a fairly late booking here so couldn’t expect the best room in the house but ……………….. Our room was small (including the bed), the furniture antiquated, the room...

This is the third time I have stopped overnight at Rowanbank on the way to northern Scotland and the third time I am giving it a good review. Quiet, friendly and comfortable, the ideal place to break a long journey. It is not the height of luxury but it is not expensive and very good value for money. I look...

Great location, friendly and very helpful owners. We had a large room with four poster bed, sofa, coffee table and TV. Plenty tea, coffee etc and kit-kats! Breakfast was great, plenty of it - loved the black pudding. Unlike other guests, no problem with shower pressure in either of the rooms we occupied. Will certainly stay there again on the...

First, the good. Polite and friendly owners. Good cooked breakfast. Quiet and well situated for a 2 minute walk to Annan, High street, and a minute to the Railway Station or local Swimming Pool. A comfortable TV/Lounge area with a good library selection. The Hotel appeared clean and had a well laid out dining room. Now, the not-so-good. We had...

Thank you for taking the time and trouble for such a comprehensive review. We are sorry that you thought your room, and all of the linen had an odour that you found distasteful. We cannot explain this and wish that you had said something when you were here. We could then have investigated. Perhaps during this very humid weather, you...

On road parking to the front of the house, the room was clean and equipped with tea making facilities, located within walking distance of the high street shops where there is a chip shop and café, tv signal and wi fi were good. The reason I gave this only a 3 out of 5 was that the toilet pan in...

Friendly people the owners, Good breakfast, Tired rooms, pathetic shower (just a dribble- no pressure). Awful bed. Two of us stayed to fish the Annan river based on reviews read. Nothing wrong with the place, clean, food OK and the owners friendly. Nothing to make it stand out or excellent though. I asked the owner about my shower and she...
