Dates of stay: 30 Oct to 02 Nov 20. We are not long back from a weekend stay at Wemyss Bay holiday park. We booked the Braidwood Lodge (Lodge 21) and it was absolutely stunning. The lodge is very spacious, clean, modern and the views are amazing. Unfortunately, we didn’t use any of the facilities on site due to Covid restrictions in place but we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the lodge entertaining ourselves. However, there is a welcome pack in your accommodation upon arrival detailing all activities available each day if you wish to use them. Things to note: bedding and towels are provided but I would suggest taking some washing liquid and sponges for cleaning as our lodge didn’t have any. The kitchen is fully equipped and all utensils and cutlery were spotless. I was contacted by the holiday park before arriving on site to provide accommodation information and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We are considering booking again for end of Nov/early Dec but regardless of when it is (Covid permitting), we will definitely be rebooking the lodge again in the near future.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to review our park. We are really pleased to hear that you had an enjoyable stay with us and will be sure to pass your positive feedback on to our team. Just to make you aware, as our accommodation is self catering, we do not provide washing material in any of the caravans or lodges and only provide bath towels in the lodges. Worthwhile noting for the next time whether you book a caravan or a lodge. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back on park for your next staycation. Kind regards, ^MC

We stayed here on a Sun holiday 4 day break, in order to visit the isles of Bute and Great Cumbrae. The site itself is hilly which gave us no problems, but be aware if you have mobility issues. Caravan was very clean and well appointed; everything worked. We did not use any of the restaurant or entertainment facilities, so cannot comment on these aspects. We wouldn’t hesitate to make a return visit.

Not being able to get abroad due to Covid, booked a last minute weekend at Wemyss Bay Holiday Park in a Ballantine Lodge just to get away for a few days, so glad we did. Lodge was beautiful, very clean, spacious, modern with wonderful views over the water. Well equipped lodge and really couldn't fault anything. Comfortable beds, powerful showers (2), wine cooler, washer/dryer, dishwasher etc - home from home. We didn't use any of the site facilities so cannot comment on them, though the site looked very well kept. Good base for local trips to Largs and even into Glasgow. Did think we would get the ferry to Rothesay as it's just at the opening to the park - however as we only had a weekend we wanted to enjoy our time in the lodge and found it very hard to drag ourselves away from the amazing view, very relaxing. Funnily enough, with not once having ventured into reception (contact free check-in) or using any of the facilities - we did feel very welcome. This started the day before we arrived - received really friendly call from Caroline to check we knew what to do when arriving, reassuring us that we would love our lodge and have a great time and that she would check we were ok when we arrived. When we arrived, sat out on the decking enjoying the view, the maintenance guy passed on his tractor - waved and stopped to say hello and that he had just changed our gas so we would be ok. Then a wee van passed and Elaine got out and asked us if everything was ok - another warm welcome. Then Caroline popped by to say hello and check we were ok - we were - we felt very cared for. I would recommend this park and in particular this lodge. Staff obviously enjoy what they do and care about your holiday experience. Not really knowing what to expect before we went, we were very pleasantly surprised by everything. Thank you!

Had a lovely week here during half term. We arrived the day after further lockdown restrictions came into place. We were given the option to amend to another date but decided not to. Glad we came. Stayed in Bowers caravan. Clean with all you needed for cooking. Swimming is still open but there are no changing facilities so you need to arrive with your swimming stuff on. You can leave clothes towels etc at side of pool. Play park opened and plenty to do there. My son took part in football, dodgeball, Pottery painting and aqua jets and enjoyed them all. Staff very helpful and friendly. Arcade opened. Had to queue in evening due to limited capacity. Used launderette and shop also.

Really great stay, considering all of the covid regulations staff were really helpful and went the extra mile - no live entertainment but we didn’t let that bother us! It was quieter than usual but we throughly enjoyed ourselves, the park isn’t far from Glasgow and Loch Lomond and Largs is a cute town too - you can also take a boat trip out from not far away! Recommend a car if you’re hoping to go out and about, but thoroughly enjoyed our time here the site was brilliant and the staff were fab! Another great holiday with park dean :)
