My husband, mum and myself stayed here three weeks ago, unexpectedly having to visit a very sick relative in Mallaig at no notice. Sandra the owner was very welcoming, I think we were one of the first guests of the season. The house is spotless , our room was beautifully and freshly decorated , with lovely touches , tartan throws...

Stayed here adventitiously for 1 night, because all ferrys to Skye Isle were overbooked. And it was best accommodation in all our trip. The room is big enough for 2 adults and 1 child. In bath you can find shampoo, conditioner, soap and even hand cream. Nice sea port view from window. And of course breakfast was delicious. The porridge...

An ideal place to stay after a trip on the West Highland Railway from Glasgow to Mallaig with onward plans to visit Knoydart. The whole house is spotlessly clean and uncluttered with beautiful art work on the walls. My single room was warm, comfortable and perfectly adequate for the two nights I slept there.. Sandra gave me a great welcome...

The visual beauty of this part of Scotland is quite breathtaking and the Springbank is a charming wee B&B,located after a five minute walk from the train station with lovely views across Mallaig harbour bay.Sandra, the owner, who runs this popular guesthouse is very informative, friendly and professional, only had a double available for me but it was a lovely, cosy, clean and comfy room...

This B&B is comfortable with a wonderfully welcoming host. I had a very good nights sleep in a good sized single room. Very good tray of drink options in the room and the shower and WC facilities were just across the hallway. Excellent breakfast with good choice of cereals and cooked food. Views across the bay come free with the...

The room was lovely furnished, and had a sink (with soap and lotion) on a desk. The mattresses were quite soft, and the bed wobbled once you moved. While the room was quiet, you could hear some noise coming from the non-used heater all night. The shared bathrooms were super clean and had soap and shampoo as well. Breakfast was...

There is a good reason why this B & B is not recommended by Visit Scotland or any other organisation for that matter. The facilities are shocking. No ensuite in any room and when I got up in the morning I had to queue to get to the toilet. Think there was another 9 people staying that night. There are...

Management response:

I believe this to be a malicious and vicious report from some person who has not actually stayed at Springbank Guest House in Mallaig. The first error that this person made was to state that they stayed with us in December 2015. We were not open last winter - we closed at the beginning of November 2015 and did not...

My husband and I enjoyed 1 night at Springbank. That night, the seaview outside the window is beautiful. The dining room is spacious and has very pretty seaview also. The breakfast is delicious. The bedroom is clean and spacious. There is even a sink is the room.

We spent one night in Springbank and very much enjoyed it. The rooms were spacious and, even though our rooms were not en-suite, the shared bathrooms were spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, tasty and very filling. Thoroughly recommended!

You cannot find fault with this B&B - and you wouldn't want to. Sandra welcomed us before we had time to knock. She showed us where we could safely store our bikes and then to our rooms. We had a single room with a sea view and one with garden view. Both were sensibly proportioned and furnished / decorated to...
