We only popped into the bar for a drink on a very rainy day and found the bar to be very dismal to say the least. It's just one big room with no atmosphere and the table and chairs left a lot to be desired. The man behind the bar was pleasant and polite enough but the place is just... More

Stayed overnight at the above Hotel and was pleasantly surprised after reading some reviews checked in and room was clean and well presented and the "Full Scottish Breakfast" in the mng you would die for. I would recommend this establishment for overnight stay. All staff I met were friendly and courteous.

Only called in for drinks but was quite glad to leave. Staff were friendly enough but the choice was poor with no real ales and surroundings which looked like they had not been updated for decades. Seems popular with the locals though

There have been a few negative posts regarding late night noise coming from the bar. This was not apparent having just stayed at the Marine. There is also a negative comment about credit card charges. If you compare the total cost with other establishments the rate is extremely competitive. The rooms have been recently refurbished to a good standard and... More

I booked up here, despite the so-so reviews, because it was much cheaper than other places in the village, and close to the ferries and station. Whilst some of the negative points made by other reviewers are technically correct e.g. the surcharge for paying by credit card, the hotel exceeded my expectations. Noise from the bar was minimal even on... More

Really enjoyed my overnight here despite weather. Staff really helpful and friendly. Adjacent to train station and Calmac ferry terminal a real bonus. Room was clean and tidy and has everything you need. Regularly chatting with the owner (and lovely dogs) and staff really make you feel at home

We had an unexpected stay in Mallaig due to the ferries being cancelled because of bad weather. The hotel was more expensive than we would have liked to have paid, but there was little availability at such short notice. Reading other reviews about the noise was a little worrying, but actually it wasn't too bad at all. The room itself... More

After arriving off the train in Fort William I was pleased to find this hotel quite literally next door. I was warmly welcomed at reception and shown to my room (a first on this trip!). The room had fantastic views out to the Isles of Skye, Eigg and Rum and at sunset I was able to sit by the sea... More

We decided to stop here for lunch made welcome and decided to sit inside as it was a bit cool weatherwise on the balcony, but after 10 minutes the tv behind us was blasting out rap music, it made the ambience of the lovely setting unpleasant, we had to move outside to eat which was not bad as the views...
