Nice stay. Hostess Jean was just so lovely, we came in with a takeaway and she quickly hurried to give us plates/cutlery and offered for us to dine in the restaurant. We didn’t order breakfast so can’t comment. I do feel after staying in a number of guest houses over the last 3 weeks over Scotland that this place was slightly over priced in comparison to other guest houses and that’s even without breakfast. Room comfortable and clean and amenities good

We were on the top floor, in room 6, and it was absolutely stunning. Better standards than a lot of hotels I’ve stayed in! Off street parking behind the house with enough room for about 6 cars. Room was large and the bed was very comfy. Sloping ceiling, being in the roof, but the bed was under it so didn’t lose any room space. Room itself was immaculate with amazing views over the harbour. The bathroom was spectacular with a full bath, separate large shower and everything else you would expect, all done to an extremely high standard.
Breakfast was equally as good as the standard of the room and they were able to handle a couple of changes that weren’t on the menu so would give top marks for that also.
Very central and just a couple of minutes walk to the ferry (look out for the local seal in the harbour).
In short, this is a great guest house and would thoroughly recommend it.

Our planned holiday on Skye included a one night stay in Mallaig after travelling from Glasgow by train in an afternoon with the ferry the next morning. Having read previous reviews we choose this guest house and were not disappointed. Whilst on the journey Donald checked what time we were expecting to arrive and confirmed it was only a couple of minutes walk from the railway station and he was not wrong. Donald welcomed us explaining the arrangements and showed us to our room which was very well appointed. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful and we had a relaxing stay with a comfortable bed and quiet room. And to cap it off we could see the ferry from our window so again it was only a few minutes walk. It really added to our leisurely travel arrangements to Skye. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to stay at Seaview if they required accommodation in a central location in Mallaig.

Just the one night stay this time but when we return to Mallaig we'll definitely stay here again. Short walk from the train station. The room was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. Everything you could need, lovely view of the harbour and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast next morning was substantial and absolutely delicious. Our hosts were also very friendly and helpful, suggesting places to eat for example.

Spotlessly clean, hosts very warm and informative on locality and places to visit. Breakfast was fantastic, we felt very safe, hand sanitiser as you entered the accommodation and hosts wearing masks when serving us. Highly recommend

Donald and Paul run this beautiful homely and impeccably finished bed and breakfast in the tiny fishing village of Mallaig. The room was tastefully decorated with a small window overlooking the harbour. The bed, cushions and mattress were as good as our Harrison Spinks mattress and Egyptian cotton sheets at home, therefore very comfortable. The bathroom and shower superbly fitted. Everything is clean tidy and really well kept. We stayed for two nights in room 6. There is parking at the rear of the guest house.
The best bit is Donald's breakfast which is to die for. If you like smoked hadfock you won't be disappointed. Attention is very much in the detail and our two hosts have a superb eye for detail.
We will return. Thank you guys, your dedication and commitment to your business shines through.

This place is a real find - just needed an overnighter before the ferry to Lochboisedale and this was just perfect. Excellent value, spacious room, great harbour views, very comfy bed, spotless bathroom and Tunnocks wafers - what more could one ask for.
Breakfast was excellent - hot smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were delicious. Wished we could've stayed longer!

We have never experienced such perfect accommodation. Our room was spacious, clean, perfectly renovated and contained everything we needed without being intrusive. The view of the harbour and harbour life from our window was breathtaking. Our hosts were unobtrusive but always there when we needed them. And the breakfast was unbelievably good, we have rarely had such a good breakfast in Scotland as at Seaview Guesthouse. Thank you so much for the happy time we had with you, we will never forget it and hope to visit again soon!

The Seaview Guest House is the sort of place that is so good that you think it cannot possibly exist. A stunning location right across the road from the sea, immaculately clean and comfortable and stylishly decorated throughout with everything that you need and nothing that you don't. I had a very warm welcome from Donald when I arrived and at breakfast next morning he was the perfect host, chatting interestingly about the area when I asked and then disappearing to leave me in peace. Breakfast was splendid with some lovely unexpected surprises - a bowl of fresh fruit, for example. I was only there one night but wished I could have stayed longer. Next time I take a Scottish trip I shall definitely go via Mallaig. Cannot recommend the Seaview Guest House too highly.

Can recommend. We were passing through Mallaig on route to Skye. Sea View is a short walk from the railway station and the ferry, close to restaurants and pubs too. Donald offered a warm welcome. The room was beautiful, recently furnished I think.
The bed was so comfy, I left with "bedenvy". I need that mattress!
Thank you everyone at Sea View for providing such lovely accommodation.
( may be worth adding that there are steps to the front door, may be an issue for some, but here again, care has been given and the surface was of a non-slip material).

Anne, your question “Do you allow dogs” at the Seaview has been forwarded to me but I was a visitor to the guest house, not the owner. I respectfully suggest you contact the owners. We do not have dogs so the question did not arise.
