Me and my family had a wonderful stay in Barry's Bay Cottage Resort. We stayed in a cabin on the lake and it was very enjoyable. At night we could see SO many stars, and in the day there was so much wildlife to explore. Our cabin was clean and cozy. We loved how there was free kayak and canoe...

My family of 5 (13, 11 and 5 year old) stayed at the Blue Heron cabin in 2014 for 3 nights near Canada Day. We had a great time and enjoyed everything except the cabin was too small for the 5 of us. The cabin offers its own direct waterfront with very swimmable beach, bbq, hot tub, fire pit and...

Thank you Mark. We appreciate your nice comments about the resort and area. We are a bit surprised to hear about Geoff our property managers demeanour. He is typically quite pleasant except when he gets over busy. Regardless, we have talked to him about this and are doing our best to ensure this does not happen again. Your comments on...

Wow. What a perfect family trip. If you are looking for an easy family cottage trip this is the place to stay. Very clean, accommodating, and so much to do. For the same price as a hotel stay in Ottawa this beats it by far. Definatly making it a yearly thing. Thank you Sunnyhill☺

We rented a cottage at this "resort" for a period of seven nights. The cottage daily rate was considered high in our opinion compared to other resorts in the area (Based on our search of the internet). Although we had a beautiful view and easy access to the lake and a very nice private location, that was pretty much the...

Thanks for your review Kevin. We are glad you enjoyed the view, privacy and cleanliness of the cottage. The dish washing is not something that comes up often as the previous guests must have put them away instead of cleaning...that is not fun for sure! We have since updated our router/hubs and the internet service is better. Due to our...

We recently rented the Jack Pine cottage #11. It was a spacious 3 bdrm, 1 bath at the end of the road. The map on the website makes the grounds appear large; however, it takes about 5 min to walk to the other end of the resort. The cottages were spaced well enough apart for privacy. Cottage: Fully equipped with...

We stayed in Cottage 8 during our stay. We had emailed prior to our booking and received prompt and friendly advice right away. The cottage was very clean and neat, well heated and the hot tub was a welcome bonus that's for sure! Cottages around us were also rented yet the place remained nice a quiet which made for a...

We stayed in Cottage #7, The Cottontail, during mid-October. As avid cottage renters, we are always looking for something removed, remote and remarkable. It's not common for us to rent a cottage at a place like Barry's Bay Cottage Resort but for two night's it was the right choice. The resort was busy, most cottages were rented which as a...

First impression wasn't great...but we did have a good time The beach is super small, almost an afterthought. I agree with others- the lodge is very musty. My kids loved the playground and the dirt roads are great for kids to bike on. We brought our atv's and the ride to get onto the trails is a short ride on...

We spent a long weekend at Barry’s Bay Cottages. Everything exceeded our expectations: The cottage, the grounds, the activities, etc. The 3-bedroom cottage was spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed. The grocery store was a short drive away which was very convenient when we ran out of milk and treats for the kids. What I loved about our experience...
