Restaurant has been renovated and has a new menu. Good atmosphere, fantastic food and we will definitely be back again. Chicken schnitzel and deserts are delicious. Would recommend this to everyone looking for a nice meal.

I grew up in the street behind this pub. I frequented the pub reguarly over 20 years ago and the place although convenient was very drab. I called into the place for lunch yesterday and was amazed with what I saw. The pub, particularly the dining area has been transformed into a modern, trendy establishment. The staff are friendly and... More

I stayed here for 2 nights in a superior room which was out the back away from the main Hotel so it was very quiet. My room had a queen bed, with plenty of room to move around, the bathroom has a very large shower with still heaps of room to dress etc the hair dryer was 'out of order'... More

Super, great, loved it. Didn't know about the newer spa rooms, would have gone for one. Stayed two nights. Room was a bit dated, couldn't find the heater controls, (coldest day ever) but good value for the money. Bed was so comfortable, shower good. Wifi was as easy as. Restaurant was good, great menu and food. Friendly bar staff. I... More

We chose to have our eldest sons birthday at this venue, the meals were excellent and reasonably priced. Atmosphere very friendly and the service great. We had about 20 guests and we enjoyed the evening greatly. Would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a good meal at reasonable prices.

We've lived near the Highlander for years but after a couple of disappointing meals, removed it from our list of local favourites. After the recent renovation we decided to give it another chance and it's safe to say we were seriously impressed. So much so that we've been twice in the last week. Our first visit was on a Tuesday... More

The Highlander restaurant has had a major modern refit, the service was excellent and the menu had a interesting mix of standard to alternate meals. There is also a salad bar which is good but apparently in the past had a better range. That being said, we had the Atlantic Salmon, beef schnitzel and a range of international sausages. Worth...
