This is a lovely villa set in the country-side a short trip from Cambridge. The host is welcoming and the setup would be great for a group/family that plans to do outings during the day and needs a base. The breakfast, as other guests have stated, is basic but there are some nice cafes in Cambridge where you can get...

Sue, the new owner, has taken over what is a tired but lovely old homestead in a stunningly quiet and lovely location just ten minutes drive from Cambridge and half an hour or so from Hobbiton. When she has improved the interior and exterior to the standard expected in New Zealand, it will be super. At the moment, however, the...

This has recently come under new management and you can see the changes the fantastic host sue has made already. Great country location with fantastic 360 degree views of the country side. Very friendly, honest, informative host. The breakfast is continental but there is plenty of places to eat in Cambridge which is a 10 minute drive away if you...

Welcoming accommodation and atmosphere and even friendlier people. The relaxed and rural vibe of this lovely place meant that you were equally welcome to sit and chat with host and guests, overlooking the pool and rolling countryside, or stick to your own schedule and take off into nearby Hamilton. A little, fluffy terrier was generously accommodated - according to understood...

Heather thank you for taking the time to write your review. It would be a pleasure to have you both and of course your wee man back again, as he was a very well behaved wee dog. Didn't know he was there which makes for a happy stay for everyone. Breakfast, all B&B's run their business differently and as mentioned...

Not what we were led to believe, breakfast in the cottage was left in the fridge ( all half used!!) and had to last us 4days !! Hardly a "continental breakfast"!!! Mixed type of cereals, one defrosting loaf of bread, someone else's half used butter and jam. Needs some serious re-working!!!no cleaning of any kind , need I go on !!!!

Well, well so sorry to hear that after I gave you the option and you agreed to be out in the cottage which is self contained (because you had booked and paid for the smallest and cheapest room in the house for four days with all your luggage where you would had have to share everything with others) that you...

Lovely B & B - pretty location and lovely old Villa. The host was divine and super friendly however only bathroom between 3 rooms is not ideal. Beds very comfy and reasonable rates. the only suggestions would be robocans or similar for the fly issue - and perhaps adding to breaky some fruitjuice, yoghurt and fruit would be good -...

Thank you for your review it was lovely having you both stay. Every B&B is different and as all my marketing mentions it is a self service breakfast of 3 cereals, spreads and wholemeal bread, tea and coffee at all times and a microwave to reheat food for other meals. Many accommodation properties do not supply breakfast or a microwave...

Excellent location for Hamilton/Hobbiton/Airport with comfortable rooms in pleasant, quiet surroundings and friendly, helpful hostess. However breakfast was very disappointing: just some similar types of cereal plus the remains of two frozen packets of sliced bread (not even an option of white or brown); certainly couldn't be described as a "continental breakfast". Also, while appreciating the difficulty with water pressure,...

Had a weekend away after the hectic Christmas/New Year work period. This is just what the doctor ordered - peace & quiet, beautiful surroundings, and a swimming pool! Bliss! We were a party of 8 - two couples, and children aged 17, 10, 7 and 2 - so we took over the whole house. It was a very cold night - but it was lovely snuggled up by the open fire, and we were toasty in our beds. We went to the local fish and chip shop to buy...

“The bedroom letting out onto the porch, while equipped with a large dresser to hang clothes in and containing a very comfy bed and desk set up, is an unfortunate choice for those who are light-sensitive as the porch light next to the windows/door does not appear to switch off until after 3 am.”
