Debbie was a lovely host and the cottage was immaculate. There was everything we needed. Thank you for the lovely tea, coffee and biscuits! We slept really well, it is beautifully quiet and the beds, are very comfy and extremely clean. Lovely bath with plenty of hot water and great en-suite shower. The maps and useful tourist information were very helpful and we had very competitive games of scrabble! The kids loved the table tennis and table football. We enjoyed the short walk past the ponies to the farm shop and great cafe just down the road where we ate some very tasty triple cheese burgers and chips. We also bought some lovely food to cook back at the cottage. Local honey was very nice! We really enjoyed playing in the river and collecting the eggs from the chickens- great idea! Our little one loved the slide too. We visited Hurst for a great day out at the beach with fish and chips and ice cream, Linford bottom for a great forest walk and Paultons park to finish of the holiday- it was wonderful! We would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you for a great stay 😊…
From the impeccably clean cottage to the games room and eggs this was a really perfect place for us to stay. Our boys enjoyed collecting the eggs every morning and making use of the games rooms. Everything about the cottage was perfect. I have limited mobility and the accommodation was just right in everyway. Debbie was a great host and we felt IF we had had an issue she was on hand to help! We had an amazing breakfast at Hockey's farm shop down the road which we would fully recommend and were made to feel welcome at the local church in crossways on Sunday. Driving through the forest each day and meeting the horses and donkeys was a real treat. We would not hesitate to recommend this place and will certainly be returning sooner rather than later!
Debbie was a most welcoming host. Roe Cottage was impeccably clean. Being able to collect our own eggs with our grandson was a highlight. Clive was very knowledgeable about the area and the farming history. We recommend Hucklesbrook farm without hesitation to other families looking for relaxation on the edge of the New Forest. We would certainly use this accommodation again!
A wonderfully warm welcome awaited us in this idyllic corner of The New Forest. Debbie, Clive and James Sampson have ensured and warm and covid safe welcome to their lovely cottages. Ideally situated to enjoy the Flora and Fauna of the Forest or a day out to the beach. During our stay we particularly enjoyed walking along several footpaths in the forest, visiting Beaulieu village and walking to Buckler's Hard. We also went to Mudeford Quay and took the ferry to Hengistbury Head for a scenic walk. The cottage was warm, cosy and very comfortable furnished. We really enjoyed visiting "our hens" each morning and collecting the delicious fresh eggs for breakfast.
Very friendly and welcoming. Cottage was beautiful, it was really spacious, spotless throughout, smelt lovely and even came with fresh flowers. It's situated off the main roads, so was quiet and peaceful, but a close enough drive to plenty of tourist sites. Beds were incredibly comfy. The kitchen was very well equipped, even having a washing machine. The garden was fully fenced and felt really private, and we were able to use the BBQ provided. Even got to pick up your own eggs from your own coop. Would definitely return if we're holidaying in the area again.
After a busy, pandemic working life, this was just what we needed. A tranquil, relaxing well appointed cottage. Close to all New Forest amenities and the coast. We had mornings out in Swanage and Poole and Chesil Beach etc then back to songbirds and snuffles of horses in the back paddock! (My partner became a horse whisperer to "Mr Ed " in the paddock behind us , calling the horse over for a morning hello!!) Such a delightful place to stay plus fresh eggs from our own dedicated chucks each morning XXXX We would recommend a stay here to anyone as everything in the cottage and garden is catered for. The hosts are delightful and helpful. Having not "holidayed" in Uk for 40 years this has changed our perspective. Regards
We had a very comfortable relaxing week’s stay at Hucklesbrook Farm The cottage was very well equipped comfortable and spacious in a quiet location behind the farm house and our host Debbie was very welcoming informative and helpful We enjoyed the beauty of the new forest walks on Heath and woodland with their spectacular wildlife and accompanying ponies cattle and donkeys Hucklesbrook farm is an excellent well placed base for exploring the forest Would definitely recommend! Melanie and Lionel
We had a wonderful week in Badger Cottage - Debbie, Clive and James were very welcoming and made sure we were happy with everything, which we certainly were! It's a wonderful location - just seeing the ponies all around makes you feel relaxed, and there's plenty to see and do. We'd recommend Hilliers and Exbury Gardens which are both magnificent. There are loads of scenic drives and walks, e.g. Deadmans Hill and Bolderwood. Highly recommended! Ron and Doreen Wells
Hucklesbrook Farm Cottages are in a great location for exploring the New Forrest and surrounding area. “Roe Cottage” was very clean and well equipped with everything you need in a self catering cottage and plenty of parking. A nice garden area to the front of the cottage with table and chairs to enjoy the sun from or have breakfast at. Our cottage had double patio doors leading from the living area to the garden which allowed additional light into the cottage. It is a very quiet farm with just the sound of birds twittering in the trees. You even have your own hen house with a supply of fresh eggs. The owners are very pleasant and helpful, should you need anything during your stay. We had a lovely week and would recommend it to anyone. Nick & Jinny
15th - 19th Sept 2020 This was our 6th visit to Hucklesbrook Farm and yet again it didn't disappoint ! Slightly different this year as we were only able to stay for the 4 nights due to Covid but none the less we had a fantastic time. We stayed in Fallow cottage and as expected it was spotlessly clean and tidy with every pot, pan and piece of equipment you could possibly think of there for you ! Debbie, Clive and now James are always available to deal with problem that may crop up (we need matches to light BBQ !) so you never need to worry if there should be a problem. One of our favourite things was popping over to collect a couple of freshly laid eggs from the chickens in the next field. All in all it was another fabulous stay ! Paul & Karen Davies
