Just returned with our (nearly) 3yr old daughter from here for a week. When leaving she cried because she liked it so much and has complained since being home that she wants to be in our ‘other house’! Cottage was great, so warm we turned the heating down - kitchen could use more cupboard space if self catering but was fine. Beds & Sofas were super comfy and whole place was extremely clean and well kept. The play area on the farm was fantastic for little ones and she LOVED collecting her chicken eggs each day. Beautiful horses on the farm - nice having them watch us wash up! Lovely views. Debbie was a perfect host and the whole process was so easy and friendly. Had a few rainy days but found plenty to do nearby including the oceanarium in Bournemouth and various local cafes (potting shed cafe a short drive and excellent (pre-book if u can), the farm cafe in the village was also very good / a 5 min walk and daughter liked the birds in aviary next to it. ALICE LISLE pub close by was very good and family friendly - excellent food and service. Walking in the village was great - lots of wild ponies around and Bournemouth beach was fabulous. Ringwood also a nice town. Highly recommend CHEZ FRED fish and chips restaurant in Bournemouth (you cant pre-book but get there for 11:45 or you will have to queue for a table. Also Beaulieu house had the BEST outdoor play-area I have ever seen. Fantastic for kids 1-12 with amazing climbing and play facilities. Worth the entrance cost for the play area alone. We had whole thing to ourselves and the car museum was surprisingly good with little cars and things for daughter to play in. The monorail was also fun - again - had it exclusively to ourselves! We will be back as the cottage was perfect for us and there is much more to explore.

We had an absolutely fantastic week staying at Badger Cottage and couldn’t recommend Hucklesbrook Farm more highly. Right from the point of booking, communication was quick and friendly. We arrived quite late to find the cottage was lovely and warm, spotlessly clean and had everything we could want in it. The children loved looking out the window to see the horses in the field behind and collecting eggs for breakfast in the morning, the play area was a great added bonus. There is also a table tennis table and a football table in a covered area which we made use of and each cottage has a secure garden. We didn’t make use of it in the winter, but in the summer we would have definitely put this to use. The location is absolutely perfect, straight out of the gate there were pigs, horses and donkeys roaming and the farm was a 5 minute walk from Hockeys Farm shop, which did a great breakfast and had more animals which the children loved. There are plenty of good local shops and pubs and we found it very easy to get to Paultons park and also to explore Bolderwood, Brockenhurst and Burley. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back again.

We had an amazing stay in Hucklesbrook farm. Debbie was so welcoming and the cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. Our children 2.6,6,7 loved collecting the eggs each morning and playing in the play area. There was so much to do within 30 mins drive and we enjoyed some lovely farm breakfasts from local farm shops. We would highly recommend this farm to other families! Thankyou for a great holiday

The farm has 3 cottages were you can stay. Our cottage was absolutely lovely. It was very clean. Everything you could need is provided. There is a large bathroom with a bath, but also a small showerroom next to the main bedroom. There a 2 bedrooms, one has 2 or 3 single beds the other had a double bed. There is a fully functional kitchen with a dishwasher and a washingmachine, very handy. The sofa is so soft and there is a good telly. On arrival we found tea, biscuits and milk in the fridge, we really appreciated that after a long journey. The new forest is so beautiful. You can take a lot of walks. I think on about 10 or 15 minute drive there is a town called Ringwood where you can do grocery shopping. The pub Alice Lisle is also nearby and does great food. I would recommend this place to everyone. We had a great holiday here.

Hucklesbrook Farm is located in an idyllic, quiet spot on the edge of the Forest. The Sampson family were very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. Roe cottage was perfect; clean, well-equipped and welcoming. The fresh farm eggs a bonus! My daughter wanted a riding holiday and there were plenty of excellent options nearby. She loved the wild ponies roaming locally. The Royal Oak & Hockeys Farm Shop & Cafe are to be recommended for somewhere to eat.

We had a lovely stay in these converted barns (Roe Cottage). It was clean spacious and well equipped for our requirements. Situated on the west side of the New Forest it was quieter than the usual honeypots but gave easy access to the popular areas. We particularly enjoyed the nearby bird reserves (Hants & IoW Wildlife Trust) at Ibsley. The local cafes in the farm shops in South Gorley and Hyde were both excellent and there were numerous pubs locally for meals out- too many to sample in a week. The location is quiet and peaceful and the owners Debbie and Clive are lovely hosts. When we are ready to return to the area we would be happy to return here

We really enjoyed our time at Hucklesbrook Farm. The cottages are very well thought through. The beds are very comfortable. We were lovely and warm in the Autumn weather. It is such a beautiful area and such a joy to see horses and other animals wandering around just outside the farm. We also recommend Arniss Equestrian where our daughter did two hacks during the week.

The cottage was a fantastic base to discover the new forest for the first time. We stayed in badger cottage which was spacious, homely and surprisingly cool during the hot weather. Having access to a BBQ was also welcomed. The cottage is really good value for the week. The sound and sight of the horses around the cottage was a wonderful reminder of our rural location but we were close enough to enjoy many new forest attractions and days out. We had our own bikes, which could be securely stored on site and we used them to cycle to Alice Isle and the Old Beams pub for dinner which only took around 10 minutes. The meals at both these locations were nice and we also bought food from the farm shop. Each morning our 6 year old couldn’t wait to go and check our chickens. We had days out at Moors Valley Park, the beach and the Heavy Horse Farm. We also visited the Tank Museum and Monkey World in Dorset which took an hour in the car.

We enjoyed a fabulous first holiday as a family of four at Hucklesbrook farm. The cottage was clean and well equipped with everything we would need, especially useful were the cot and high chair for our 10 month old baby. Best of all especially for our 3 year old daughter were the great facilities beyond the cottage - the private garden, the playground equipment and going to see our very own chickens and collect their eggs, she absolutely loved it. The farm is very well situated with easy access to many attractions. We had great days out at the beach, visiting Paultons, catching a boat from Poole harboured at the local country parks. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have come home with wonderful memories. Thank you.
