We were three couples traveling on motorcycles up the West Coast and we spent one night at Lamberts Bay Hotel. My overall impression is that the rooms need to be updated and renovated as they look very tired. The linen is dated and the bed in our room needs replacing. The staff were excellent.

The room was clean and neat , but too pricy for what you get. The bathroom was very old and creepy. The noise from over the street is very irritating. The personal is very friendly and helpful. This was definitely a plus . Just to sleep over was alright. The big down side was the restaurant. I nevertaste someone bugger up...

Accommodation in Lamberts Bay is rather dismal. The best bet seemed the hotel, situated on the harbour. It urgently needs a revamp. Rooms are bland and tired. At least it has a bar, and just the place to meet some colourful locals.

We visit the Lambert's Bay every year in March when the Crayfish Festival takes place. We love the charm of the hotel. Staff members are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and cosy. Buffet breakfast is lovely. We will be back.

R600 for a single room out of season is a cheek ! We booked the same day we arrived there, so it is not even a supply and demand situation. 1) the humming noise from from the factory in front right through the night kept me awake all night long. 2) the bathroom is FILTHY and fittings need replacing -...

Pretty sure the images on the website are photoshopped. Carpets looked like they havent been steam cleaned in years Grimy Mildew and mould on bathroom walls. The overall damp smell was overwhelming throughout the hotel. No Generator for loadshedding, Instead lots of candles placed on the floors and ballustrades. Dangerous if there are kids around. Shower head not attached in...

We arrived just after 9 in the evening and although there were people in the restaurant we were told that it was closed. Very friendly barman then made us some coffee instead. Bedroom very tired looking but clean. The bathroom however is something else. Bath marked and stained and bath and handbasin has lots of dirt and mould around taps....

Lamberts Bay itself is a bit grim and desolate, and the hotel, behind the factories is as good as it gets - there is no reason to complain about the place, the pub is fun, the people friendly and welcoming, the room clean and tidy.

Lambertsbay has always been a fulltime fishing and fish factory village but it is no longer the place it use to be 25 years ago when we last visited. Those were the years when crayfish was still very affordable. Fisherman were quite busy as there was a good Snoek run. The hotel is slightly run down but still clean and...
