We stayed here for four nights to relax and walk. We were really well received by Tom and Olivia and the rest of the staff, who all made sure we had an excellent time. The location is amazing and has great sunsets. There is a lot of wildlife coming close to the lodge, so while you are at the restaurant you are entertained the whole day long by the sight of the animals. The place is clean, has electricity, good wifi (at the restaurant), hot water and is well maintained. The meals are nice and the prices are great. You get great value for your money. We recommend everyone to stay here. Thank you for everything!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is great and most of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean. A double quilt on the bed would have been nice, rather than two single quilts, but it's a small grumble. We booked late, so stayed in one of the hornbill rooms -- it's worth noting these have no view and are on the path to 'the rock' so the patio area isn't that relaxing. We must book earlier next time! The view from the restaurant/pool/open area is beautiful and there are often plenty of animals to watch. The food was good and veggie friendly. We had a few small service issues -- there are quite few staff (which is good!) but it seemed messages didn't always get passed on. We were told breakfast by some staff was from 7am -- but when we asked fort 7am were told it wasn't possible. We were always asked what time we wanted meals -- but food usually arrived 30 -60 minutes later than the time requested. It's not a massive wait in the scheme of things, but awkward when you have activities booked, and have a small child in the group. There was another communication issue when it came to checking out, we asked for all activities to be put on out invoice, and triple checked they had been when the total seemed low. And then when our friends checked out they were told we hadn't paid and that they would have to pay for us.

We've just spent 1 night in the Mongoose Lodge with our 3 kids. It was an amazing experience. The staff is super friendly, helpful and customer service level at its best. The lodge was super clean even though without windows, with the noise of the night and wildlife surroundings giving it an indescribable experience. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Nburo N.P. Dinner area offers a magnificent view, food is fresh and simply delicious. Heads up and massive congrats to the entire team. What a way to start discovering Uganda!

I stayed at the Bushbuck cabin with great views! The room looked very cute and has a nice shower, mosquito net and a safe box to keep valuables in. There are 2 usb charging facilities in the cabin, very convenient. It also has a small seating area outside. The restaurant area provides wifi and the building is an amazing construction. Outside the restaurant you have a swimming pool and some benches to enjoy the fantastic view and sunset. When you go back to your room bring a torch because the way is not lighted. You are in the middle of nature so in the beginning I was a bit worried about all the monkeys around my cabin but I realised they were scared of me. Dinner was a bit average for me, but the guide with me really liked his fish. And there were many options for breakfast and I enjoyed breakfast a lot (toast with avocado). The manager came to say hi to me and we had a nice chat. Lake Mburo National Park is very shortby. I stopped here on the way back to Entebbe from Mgahinga, as it is in the middle of the long way back.

Perhaps I shouldn't confess this, but because we had such a nice couple of days at Rwakobo, we didn't bother to go into the Lake Mburo National Park. We saw plenty of animals though, both from the lodge itself, but also on the brilliant cycle safari across the plains behing the lodge. The guide and the bikes were all excellent and we saw a huge group of Eland on top of all the normal grazing animals which you might normally see. And cycling amongst wild animals is something else! It was a clear hot day when we went for the cycle ride and I thought a swim in the small lodge pool would be refreshing on return. It was certainly refreshing...and the temperature took my breath away....but why? The pool is in the sun all day long and not so big or deep, but I guess the rock takes away all the heat? We had a basic room in a block, but it was quite adequate and the food and care were great. I took a few more pluges during the stay and each time was exilarating - I will be back!
