My husband and I were looking for some place in Coorg to spend some quiet and relaxing time. Victorian Verandaz couldn't be more perfect. It is absolutely heavenly place surrounded with beautiful nature. We got very warm welcome from our hosts. Diana took us for a trip around property and told us a lot about coffee plants. Every day we...

Had been to the place last weekend - we stayed at Rustica - their 150 year old cottage, that still preserves the old charm, yet tailored to suit the modern needs. Its off the Madikeri town and you enter it before you reach Madikeri town ( when you come from Mysore) - the place is a wide spread of coffee...

This place by itself is self sustained to be another tourist attraction in coorg.Calm, scenic and peaceful away from the hustle of city life, this place offers you tranquility of mind and as Master Shifu would have said "inner peace". We stayed in Rustica which is around 150 years old house yet has all the subtle modern day amenities. It has 2 bed...

This was my first visit and stay in a coffee plantation. Such a lovely wonderful experience. the cottage is about 15 to 20 mins drive from the city and hence I was away from the city's traffic. The Plantation is very well maintained and the hosts were just wonderful. They provided us home made food for dinner which was so...

We recently visited Mysore/Coorg and had the opportunity of staying at the rustic Victorian Verandaz. What a lovely quaint place. My son and I son enjoyed our stay. While the place itself was delightful, the hospitality of Tim and Diana was super. We were served delicious hot breakfasts on both days and our evening dinner too was mouth-watering. I would...

If peace, quiet and tranquillity is what you are looking for, then Victorian Verandaz is the ideal place for you. Walking around the property and in the vicinity took care of the nature-fix we were looking for. We stayed in one of the Double Rooms and the place was spotless and comfortable. Sipping coffee and staring out at all that...

We were two couples and we stayed there for 3 nights in Rustica ( an 150 year old cottage with two bedrooms and a hall, kitchen). I must say the place is beautiful with trees and coffee plantations around the house. The house is well maintained, neat and tidy. The verandah is beautifully decorated , one can sit and smell...

A homestay in the midst of an expansive coffee estate, located in the outskirts of Madikeri town. There's a lot of space to explore (that's an interesting plus for city dwellers) - big rooms, acres of plantation, sit-outs overlooking water bodies and a waterfall, trails that pass an elephant corridor. The host was gracious to drive us around in a...

I stayed there in the beginning of October 2016 with my school classmates. I must say that this place is homely, quiet with a lovely spread for breakfast. The coffee making facilities are very interesting and have a long history behind it. I will definitely visit again with family. Dr Bhaskar Balasundaram

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A verandah is typical of British colonial architecture. It allows us to enjoy the outdoors in a protected manner. We get to relax and enjoy the scenery, without being troubled by sunlight or rain.Victorian Verandaz is a pretty little cottage with a lovely verandah in front. It is designed for guests to rest and play in safety and comfort. This cottage is tucked in next to a planter’s bungalow. A bungalow that has played host to Coorg’s bold and beautiful for over a 100 years. Coorg aristocracy, British officials, army officers and planters have gathered here many a time. To discuss state affairs, hunt and feast.Victorian Verandaz is built on top of a slope and offers a view of thickly wooded slopes. Surrounding it, is a typical coffee plantation with lakes, a nursery, drying yards and the sounds of Birds.Let Coorg slow your heartbeat and make your mind sit back and rest in relief. Unwind in the pleasant climate at 4,200 feet. We extend you a warm welcome to Victorian Verandaz. ... more   less
