We spent 3 nights at this very quiet and remote resort which is located about a 20-minute drive to the park entrance. The bungalows are simple and basic spread out among a well-maintained garde (hence the Average rating). But what made the Samanea exceptional was the personal and unique service Emmanuel and his staff provided for us. They did their... More

Stayed there for 2 nights. the manager of the resort was very hospitable and their service is excellent! would definitely recommend this resort if you're planning to go to khao yai. It's quiet and you will enjoy the view.

This is a small place, nicely designed and with a lovely local staff willing to help you at all times. It is slightly remote but only 20 minutes away driving from Khao Yai park. It's newly and smartly designed bungalows are very cosy, and the whole place can take a maximum of ten to fifteen guests. So if you are... More

We stayed here two nights. The property is maintained but very small. Please note this hotel (not resort) is 2km off the main road in a rural farm neighborhood. You are about 14km from the entrance to Khao Yai. There is nothing to do here. You are surrounded by fields. You can eat dinner at the hotel since other restaurants... More

Booked in a hurry as made a last minute decision to travel to Khao Yai on our way back to North Eastern Thailand - should have taken a bit more time and done some research!! Very remote and takes half an hour to get to the main roads that access the things worth seeing in Khao Yai. Bungalow accommodation is... More

If your expectations are for quiet and being up the village way then this is a good choice. Its the modern Thai micro-resort, ten glass bungalows set close with a mini pool and an open air restaurant with no pretensions to anything except a rest before heading to the park. Set at the back a local street in a banana... More

Plenty of guesthouses and resorts around the national park offer to pick guests up from Pak Chong for free. It was the same case with Samanea Resort, except that when it came to paying, they had added 400 baht to the bill each way! Nobody told us of the price, so it came as rather a surprise. (Incidentally, a songthaew... More

Exceptionally disappointed with this place. Almost went with Khao Yai Garden Lodge and really wish I did as they are obviously much more organized and oriented to people who actually want to see beautiful Khao Yai park and not just sit on sun loungers all day. They advertise that they are only 5 minutes from the park but it is... More

Just stayed at the resort for 2 nights after a long weekend so practically have the whole resort for my family. My children enjoyed the pool and also playing with puppies from the neighbour.
