Jep's is on Ao Hin Khok, one of the closest beaches to the main pier. It's located near a couple good bars, so the nightlife is more lively on this beach. About a 15 minute walk to the national park office - where there's ATM's, 7-11, and shops. Check in staff - the older man is terrible! grumpy! The younger...

The bungalow was large enough but old and pooly maintanced. The air conditioner was noisy and the toilet leaked all night (drip, drip, drip) however the dripping was almost inaudible due to the sound of bass coming from the beach. Lack of sleep was compounded by being woken at 8.30am in the morning by someone carrying out (much needed) repairs...

One of the better locations at Koh Samet on the northern end of the beach away from the busy beach areas further south. Excellent dining with tables and chairs under the trees on the sand right of the beach. Great evening BBQ selections. Excellent swimming. Delightful more private beaches a 7 to 15 minute walk along the waterfront & headland....

We stayed in a fan room in Nov 2011 for 500bht/night and can't complain about the room. It had a hot shower and even a TV, but some of the staff, especially Jep himself, were terrible. We arrived and Jep told me he wasn't sure if he would have a fan room available and I had to come back later....

Too everyone who has posted a nasty review of Jep's may I remind you: you get what you pay for. My husband and I stayed here in July 2011 (overdue review) and yes the room was basic but given it was 20 meters from the beach and cost $12 per night that's kind of what we expected! The rooms are...

Stay away from this hellhole. First room was full of termites. Knocked on the wall and approximately 100 termites fell out from a crack in the wall. The staff smiled and gave us a new room. Walls looked ok so we left the room and went down to beach. When we came back we saw there was a dump under...

The Sign on our bungalow door said "Be sure to Double Lock your Door". Obvious security Issues. The staff were rude and only interested in collecting our money. Our room was clean, but the grounds were very dirty. The bed and pillows were had as rocks. The noise form the bar and the road traffic continued well into the night...

Although I was staying at somewhere else, I had breakfast and one evening meal in Jep's restaurant. I never had so apalling service in Thailand. Staff were unfriendly, unhelpful and uninterested in the customers and my food came in various stages. I will give it a miss next time..and they expect you to tip...

We took the cheapest fan room there just for 500 baht per night. I think we got exactly what we paid for. Rooms was very simple, no house keeping during 3 nights stay. Beach was brilliant with white sand and such a blue sea. Nice restaurant.
