Peaceful during the day, but unfriendly staff. Ruining your day. At night you are forced to listen to the bass from the edm music next door. Location: good, beach: good, breakfast is bad. I guess asking 2000 baht for a basic room is simply to much. The hotel doesn't own a private beach.

On the main beach, initially I was attracted to the large terrace, but I was served warm beer, slow and begrudging service and definitely the worst Pad Thai I've had in my 3 weeks of being in Thailand. Wrong noodles and it was 50% carrot - carrot in noodles is a 'filler'. Noodles are not expensive in Thailand.....

We first stayed at this resort on Koh Samet's Saikaew Beach some six years ago. Then the gardens and grounds were in an early stage of development, which means that most of the grounds were dusty foreshores. How much has it improved! Now the trees, shrubs and gardens have grown and matures, giving the wooden cabins at this resort a...

This is my second trip to this resort and it has definitely gone downhill in the 3 years since my last stay. The rooms are quirky wooden bungalows however well worth inspecting before you hand over your money as some of them are falling apart a little bit. The dining onsite is very limited and breakfast is best sought elsewhere...

We stayed here for 2 nights. We booked the cheapest room and still, the price was incredibly high during the weekend - according to the owner. It wasn't worth for that much of money. The first night, our bathroom's shower exploded and the water kept splashing everywhere. So we got an upgrade to a new bigger room upstairs and still,...

The room was small and very "tired" looking. Air conditioner very noisy and WiFi non existing in the room. They did tell me the WiFi in the room wasn't available. I asked why is it still in the promotional material but got no answer. The staff seemed pre occupied and not generally happy to be there.

This resort was slightly more expensive than average in Thailand but it was worthy. All bungalows are surrounded by green they are all wooden and nice design outside. The resort is right on the beach and we were so lucky to have the bungalow close to the beach, we were literally few steps away. There is also a nice place...

Been there for a short week very nice resort with lots of greenery and nice cabins. Breakfast was not good, same every day and sometimes very old and cold. Served with cold coffee by unfriendly staff. Will not visit again.

My girlfriend and I stayed here in March and will hopefully be returning in June. Do not believe all the negative reviews it is what it is and you get what you pay for. This is Koh Samet and white sand beach (the main and busiest beach), perfect for a weekend break and the Tonsak definitely meets this criteria, located...
