Fine room and bathroom, a/c worked well, good shower and TV. Cleaning was done daily in the morning to a fair standard. The reception was very friendly otherwise the other staff are not rude but not very interactive, everything seemed to be a chore! Breakfast was basic with limited choice but OK. The location is its selling point, right on the beach and about a 15 min walk into the town. Good value for the price.

A good located resort with nice bungalows or appartment rooms. Perfectly located directly at the beach - unfortunately the water has some plastic floating and many stones in selected areas.
Resort is close to other restaurants and shopping along the beach - but you have to be patient if you choose the resorts own restaurant. We were two persons visiting - one got her food immediately and I received mine after she finished. Another time we got the menu cards at arrival, but left after 15 min to another place as we apparently were forgotten...
Else good service from reception and some excellent massage on the beach.

Not the best place in the island but many people like come to party here. Warm welcome from staff “Akkhani” is the one to take care of my group. Don’t expected for good service but not bad. Good taste for A la carte I recommended deep fried mackerel with fish sauce. The beach is nice clean clear water white sand Long Beach many activities that I can choose.
Over all is good, for sure I will go back again.

Sadly the reviews about the staff are true. My GF and I decided to sit and have breakfast here. After sitting for a short time, I decided to ask a waiter if I could order. Island service can be slow and I am well aware of that so I asked a waiter in polite Thai if I could order. He raised his hands and voice and quite loudly announced in Thai 9am. To be honest, I wondered why he raised his voice. As I stood there shocked at the response I looked at the time on my phone and it was indeed 9am. Needless to say we left and never returned. TBH I cant believe the hotel keeps such bad staff. I was going to complain but the fire in the guys eyes warned me against it. Samet does have a problem with bad staff in general but keep searching and you will find a place that is tasty, willing to serve you, and overall safe.

Do not come to this resort if you plan to sleep. Their open air nightclub has ridiculously loud music until late even when there are no customers around on a quiet Sunday.

People come to this island for rest and relaxation but this does not seem to matter to the operators of this resort. This affects other nearby resorts as well.

Great location on the beach with everything you need 2 mins walk away. Great white sandy beaches. Lots of bars and restaurants which ever beach you walk to. Hire a scooter for an hour or a day and explore. Regular baht buses right outside hotel.

Room was very modern with fan and air con. Nice big bathroom, bed on the firm side. Buffet breakfast nothing special with mix of Thai and European.

This place however is very noisy at night with very loud music right up to midnight. Then very noisy again at 7.30am in the morning with all the staff shouting, builders arriving and breakfast starting.

We had a very enjoyable couple of days and it's a great place to forget all your troubles.

Our time ar Silver Sand Resort was exceptional, largely thanks to the amazing music and DJ. Every evening was a delight with a perfect mix of tunes that elevated the entire atmosphere. The DJ's skill in catering to all tastes was impressive, ensuring a lively and enjoyable experience for everyone. Beyond the music, the resort's staff, amenities, and ambience were top-notch. Highly recommend for an unforgettable stay filled with great music and vibes!

Incredibly rude, unhelpful, unfriendly and most arrogant staff I've ever met. Avoid this place!! They don't greet you, they don't thank you and forget about the smiles. Having travelled a lot I must say I've never been this badly treated as a guest at a hotel. It's cheap but not even worth the few bahts you pay for the dirty rooms anyway. Also, be sure to check the bill, our waiter decided to keep a little extra for himself, and when we discovered this he was making a big fuss about it too.

Stayed here with my Fiance and our son as well as a few friends. We stayed during the week on a Thursday during low season. The room was 1500baht total including breakfast (its 2500 on a weekend). The hotel did not charge extra for a small cot for our son which was good. After a tip from a friend we asked for a room in the new buildings. The room was nice and good value considering its about 1minute walk from the beach. The location is excellent and the beach beautiful. Thai food was good but European food was very poor.... thats the good points. Now for the downside.
As mentioned in all of the other reviews, the service is absolutely terrible. There is not one member of staff smiling and if you ask them to do anything you get the feeling that you are causing them major trouble. If you sit in the restaurant there are several stray and dirty dogs running around and sitting at the table waiting for you to throw scraps to them. The staff make no effort at all to keep them out or chase them from the table whilst you are eating. The beach outside is beautiful, however, at around 4:30pm you start to get harrassed by staff members to leave your sunbed by 5pm so that they can setup the BBQ. At breakfast I wanted some fresh eggs cooked by the lady on the egg station. She kept pointing at the eggs which were sitting on a tray at the side, already cooked, and looking like they had been there for about 30mins. She insisted they were fresh... no way. I refused to take them and pushed that she make some more, much to her annoyance. I had the same problem with the toast. She was muttering something in Cambodian or Burmese to her colleague which was obviously about me whilst she cooked the fresh eggs.
Its such a shame because this resort has the potential to be excellent. Good manners, politeness, service and a smile would have made me rate this as a 5 instead of 2 for the price. Considering that these people skills cost nothing I cant believe that the owners havent fixed it. FYI the owner / boss actually lives on the resort in a house to the right of the reception... they obviously dont care about what they have because they just appeared to lie on the sofa all day without coming out and making the guests feel welcome.
Lucklily I was with a good set of friends and this more than made up for the lack of customer service.
