We spent 4 nights here as it was recommended to us as the perfect place for a luxurious spell of R & R at the end of an exhausting but wonderful holiday in Vietnam and Cambodia. It lived up to and indeed exceeded all our expectations and hopes. It is truly paradise! Our villa, with its terrace and plunge pool, was perfectly located so that we had views of the sea and the gardens but no one could see us. The room, with separate living and sleeping areas and a bathroom with enormous bath and open-air shower, was beautifully furnished in dark local wood. We spent most of our time on the beach where you are waited on, including complimentary fruit, ice cream and afternoon tea, and the swimming is delightful. Breakfasts on the shady restaurant terrace were magnificent. We loved the Thai food at dinner, and although the menu might look expensive by local standards, the portions are such that we easily shared a starter and a main course. Best of all, perhaps, were the staff who couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful and friendly.

We have just returned home after spending 2 weeks at this stunning resort. From the moment we arrived by speedboat we were welcomed by the General Manager and several members of staff and made to feel special. During the whole of our stay all members of staff were extremely helpful, pleasant, polite and always smiling.

If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay I would thoroughly recommend Paradee. It is well run, spotlessly clean and the food is of a very high standard. It also has the advantage of having one of the best beaches we have ever visited with powder white sand. The beach staff keep it spotlessly clean and the sea was warm and clear. The opposite side of the hotel is great for snorkelling and has a lovely Sunset Bar where excellent cocktails are served. The villas are well equipped with everything you need. My massage at the spa was wonderful and the gym was adequate for most forms of exercise with a fantastic view. There were so many nice little touches such as the complimentary daily fruit, ice cream and afternoon tea.

This is an excellent place to totally relax and de-stress. The General Manager takes time to speak to all guests during the day. We had no complaints as everything was perfect but I am sure if anyone had an issue he would deal with it immediately.

A very well run resort. My wife and I will definitely visit again.

There are so many reviews of this hotel using words such as amazing, wonderful, luxurious, beautiful, incredible staff, delicious food - to be honest I am just repeating those words in this review. I could think of a long list of positive words to describe this resort. For me this wasn't just a holiday at a luxury hotel - it was a travel experience I will never forget. From the exciting boat trip to the island and the warm welcome we received on arrival, the staff never faltered on their high standard of service, friendliness and attention to luxury detail. I felt that I had truly escaped to paradise. It was a wonderful place. The staff were so attentive. I would measure my day by complimentary fruit at 1pm, ice cream at 2pm and afternoon tea at 3pm. Talcum powder sand right into the sea, even my little feet were not scratched by shingle as I stepped into the cool, crystal clear water. So tranquil. Plenty of places to find sun and shade on the beach. My husband and I finished a two week tour around Thailand with a relaxing stay at Paradee which could not have been a more perfect finish to our trip.Highly recommend.

Having spent 16 days touring Laos and Cambodia, our travel agent recommended Le Paradee for a few days R and R. It was brilliant suggestion, the hotel sits at the far end of Koh Samet from the mainland and spans both sides of the island (sunrise and sunset). Access is via an enjoyable speedboat transfer to the hotels jetty where you are greeted warmly by a welcoming committee.
We were escorted by golf cart to our garden view bungalow which was probably the largest hotel accommodation we have stayed in.Outside we had our own plunge pool/jacuzzi, loungers, tables and chairs.
My wife being Gluten Free was surprised and delighted to find that the hotel had been pre-warned and accordingly so had the staff. They were always helpful with food recommendations for her and prepared to accommodate requirements - right down to afternoon (Gluten free) tea served on the beach mid afternoon.
The staff were all very attentive and keen to make our stay an enjoyable and memorable time. The sunrise beach is a large bay with beautiful soft sand, perfect for swimming, By contrast the sunset beach with the hotel jetty is a much smaller cove as it is on the rocky side of the island.
The food was of a high standard catering for all tastes, but local Thai dishes were fantastic. Breakfast was plentiful, you may not need lunch, especially with the afternoon fruity, ice cream and tea services (inclusive). Unlike some hotels of this caliber the prices of the evening meal can be set to suit budget, they have some very reasonably priced food available.
The islands main village is at the other end of the island (20 mins by car) and some may feel that the hotel is a little isolated. This did not bother us as we were very happy to stay put and swim, kayak etc.

As a couple we recently stayed here for two weeks.
The transfer from Jadet Pier to the island was seamless with a most exhilarating speedboat ride.
We can thoroughly recommend villa 101 with private pool, for some of the best views of the whole resort and for it’s seclusion.
Everywhere was beautifully clean and well maintained, from the rooms,to the restaurant,to the beach and the grounds.
The staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with great variety, however the only reason we felt we couldn’t give a five star review was because of the food in general, some of the dishes were very good but some of them were not up to the standard you would expect of a five star hotel.
A lovely feature was the afternoon tea served at our villa each day.
The beach is kept absolutely pristine and the sea is great for swimming and water sports.
Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday.

The paradee is the most wonderful place on earth.
This is our 7th time to koh Samet in as many years,we have always stayed at Le Vimarn ,spending 1 or 2 nights at Paradee
This year we spent 3 weeks at Paradee, words cannot explain how wonderful this place is.
The staff are the kindest most beautiful people who will make sure your stay is as magical as can be.From the moment you arrive until you leave every need is taken care off.
The villa’s are so luxurious, spacious and clean.
So many personal touches make it so memorable our house keeper would hand make tiny bunches of beautiful fragrant flowers every day and hand them to me in the mornings.
Our villa was decorated as a surprise on New Year’s Eve.
The beach is a spotless and the sea a calm lagoon, all day every day staff are sweeping the sea and sand of leaves and debris, they all work so hard to make this as it’s name suggest the 6th heaven.
A special thanks to Kuhn Roy and Kuhn pornthep (

It's not common for us to write reviews for properties outside our trusted Marriott brand. Typically, I reserve my reviews for hotels that earn a full mark. However, Paradee Resort is an exceptional case. I feel compelled to share my experience, hoping it might inspire you to consider this remarkable destination.

😍 So Good:

Stunning Location: The resort's unique position allows guests to witness both sunrise and sunset, creating a magical experience.
Exceptional Service: The staff, from management to housekeeping, were consistently attentive, making every moment special.
Luxurious Villas: The spacious, clean garden villas with private pools offered a perfect blend of comfort and luxury.
Pristine Beaches: The white sandy beaches and clear waters were ideal for relaxation and water activities.

🙁 Not So OK:

😴Dining Delays: While the taste and quality of food were good, the waiting time was long enough to make our kids fall asleep before their meal arrived.
Isolated Location: The resort, located on an island, is quite separated, requiring transportation to reach the city town center.
Mosquito Issue: A few guests mentioned a mosquito problem, which could be a concern for some.

👌 Just OK:

Breakfast Variety: The breakfast was satisfactory but lacked the 'wow' factor that could elevate the dining experience.

💡 Tips and Recommendation:

Nature's Unpredictability: Be aware that heavy rain can affect the clarity of water and beaches. Plan your visit accordingly.
🚤Transportation to the Island: Consider asking the hotel for a private boat as the public boat can be crowded at the pier.
Cost Considerations: While Ko Samet is a lively island, traveling here can add extra costs, so budget accordingly.
🤿Snorkeling Adventure: If you enjoy snorkeling, bring your own equipment. The marine life 🐠around the resort is lovely and worth exploring.

🤟 Conclusion:

Paradee Resort stands out as a rare gem💎, compelling enough to warrant a review outside our usual preferences. Its blend of natural beauty, luxury, and service excellence makes it a destination worth considering for a special getaway. Despite a few areas for improvement, the overall experience was memorable and highly recommendable.

Clean, professional, friendly, great location .... all you need to feel in paradise.
Great experience with daily needs. Any wish, any need was fulfilled without first talking of a price or additional cost! This hotel is not earning any money by overpricing extras or charging every little detail.
Perfect restaurant, nice mix of food choices and again ... not overpriced!
Very professional management.
Will come back for sure!

Our first trip to Thailand and after busy sightseeing tours in 2 previous locations we were glad to end our holiday in Paradee where we hoped for 6 nights relaxing in luxury.

Firstly I though it was a lovely touch to choose your favourite room scent and soaps which made it feel from the onset that this would be tailored as we'd like it. The private speedboat is the way to go for sure, takes no more than 20 mins and the lovely welcome committee on the jetty was a great start leading straight to a golf buggy to our villa. We preferred being a row back from the beach, it was lovely and quiet, spacious and very clean. We loved the outdoor shower! The aircon was brilliant and very welcome. We also loved the information available on local fruits and wildlife etc.

The beach is stunning, warm crystal clear and powdery sand, we enjoyed snorkelling with the equipment supplied. There are loads of towels in your villa, some for the beach and pool etc but also fresh towels supplied on all sunbeds too.

We don't know if it was quiet when we went (early January) but it felt exclusive and luxurious, never too may people around.

We used the pool (a lot!) had treatments at the spa too which were lovely.

As a paid of 'foodies' I'll now comment on the meals etc. A single scoop of icecream appears around 2pm each day brought to you wherever you are, even the beach. It's really welcome and delicious. Later you order an afternoon tea which is delicious, delicate little savoury and sweet offerings along with a drink, a lovely touch.

The restaurant was fantastic with great service. Breakfast was amazing but with that, the ice cream, afternoon tea and fruit in the villa, we didn't feel the need to eat again until the evening. Evening meals were delicious, we avoided the Western menu and went for Thai every time, sometimes we were not quite sure what we were ordering but it was all delicious and the staff take great care to judge how spicy you like your food. The seabass, giant prawns, pineapple dessert and smoothie breakfast bowls were particular highlights for us!. Wine is expensive but that's the case for the whole of Thailand and it didn't stop us having a bottle with dinner every night!

I guess my highest praise is for the staff, every single one of them. Literally walking from the villa to the restaurant, the lovely guys sweeping up leaves would stop their work to greet us. The friendliness of every staff member we encountered was exceptional.

Our departure was a cocktail watching the sunset, then being waived off while we boarded our speedboat, it was hard to leave!

This is a special place and if you're wavering on booking - I'd say don't hesitate.

Thank you Paradee for a very special holiday.

The Paradee Resort lives up to its excellent reputation. We had a very enjoyable stay despite some seasonal rain. The villas are all lovely and well-maintained. The service is prompt and friendly. The general manager makes an effort to make every guest feel welcome. Even though this resort has a reputation as a couples resort, it’s very family-friendly and there were plenty of families present during our stay. The resort is small and secluded, so it will only get so crowded which is a plus. The beach is nice and the water is clean. My only complaint is price. The resort is easily 2-3 times more expensive than any other resort on the island. Here, you do get what you pay for but I am not sure the price has to be so steep.

It depends. You can pay for the minibar while paying for your room. Then you can take anything from the minibar without having to pay extra. That's what I did when I was there with my family. Have fun at Paradee Resort.
