Good food in restaurant and everything in hotel was clean and well presented. Very professional staff and warm greeting by management. Very comfortable feather pillows which I just sunk my head into and slept very well.

Te room was very comfortable, and I had a wonderful view of the valley and the mountains. It's a charming traditional hotel, nothing to do with those hotels that are similar wherever the country in which you are. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was abundant but I missed croissants, muffins or some other pastries, and especially...

Hotel Alpina is situated about an hour´s drive south east of the Austrian city of Salzburg. All around this lovely hotel are mountains, covered with snow. These magnificent scenes are fairytale-like, because they are so beautiful! Each and every morning, we ate breakfast from a wonderful spread of continental foods. The different kinds of cheeses, cold meats, fresh and tasty...

Our small family group spent a very enjoyable week at the Hotel Alpina in Feb 2015 . We picked the hotel originally because it had the single rooms we needed for some of the party. Highlights were the pool & sauna which were well equipped and clean, and the food - breakfast and dinner were good all week. The bedrooms...

Stayed here for a week on my own, and had a very good time. It was excellent value for money, and very friendly and well-run. I had booked the nearby Tauernblick, owned by the same family, but they had no free single rooms so I instead stayed in the Alpina itself - where Tauernblick guests eat and can use the...

A shining example of the Austrian hospitality, the property boasts everything a most testidious middle-class, medium-age, family-oriented guest may demand: multilanguage staff, excellent service, nice food, reasonable-quality rooms, a small but cosy swimming pool, a stone's throw distance from the town center and sports facilities, you name it..The ideal place for a family with kids to spend time in winter...

The staff was pleasant, but no one went out of their way. One disappointing thing was that the pool seemed colder than advertised and smoking was permitted in the hotel lobby and sitting room. The rooms are a bit outdated and the mattress was also not very comfortable. At dinner, the wine was better than the food, but the breakfast...

Alpina Hotel is a typical family run hotel in the Austrian mountains and is not one of the newest hotels. We stayed at one of the hotel anexes, called villa Frosin, which looked like a fairy tale house. Rooms were nothing to rave about, bathrooms absolutely tiny that I could barely fit into the shower and I did hit myself...

We have just returned from a group Ski holiday staying at the Alpina. This is our second visit and they have a new Manager although still owned by the family who have run it for years. It is a great place to stay, a few minutes’ walk to the Ski lifts ( or catch the ski bus). There is an...

“You can get a cheaper room in the annex further up the street which by the sounds of things lived up to the standard in the main hotel. I think the only difference is you don't get a towelling robe for the spa area.”
