When entering the building it was more looking at a student chambre like I used to have when I was studying at the university more than two decades ago. The room was clean and tidy but the bathroom was really disappointing. Could be ideal if you just ended you education but today standards and defaults are higher than this. Breakfast... More

We booked this place to be able to attend a family celebration earlier this month. Our original intention was for it to be a place to be close to the family, yet have a little privacy. I know the place well from my youth, having spent many hours in the cinema, which is part of the set-up. The business card... More

I don't know what to say....... Was not what I was expecting, I know it was cheap but cleanliness is a weak point, breakfast could have been better, I understood that if your guests of hotel cinema was free, our room could have been cleaned (doors, walls) only 1 socket in the room (coming off the wall), room could have... Very nice a retro cinema looking building inside and a cinema things in every step (wallpapers, cinema chairs). After night we discovered, that is actual working old small cinema theatre :) Very good and delicious breakfast. No fancy things.

We stayed here one night after the ferry to Dunkirk on the way to Germany. The room was clean, nice shower and good wifi. Breakfast was fine. The town of Aalter has a lovely square with nice places to eat. The price was very reasonable and the location for the context of our journey very good. The only criticism, the... More

Hey - the front desk lady was nice and friendly, if diffident about the location of restaurants. Picked this because of price and am paying the price. Two outlets, one bulb missing from the overhead, need to use the outlets if you want lamps. Claims to have a cinema on site - it does but it was closed today (Friday?).so... More

Driving back from the UK to Frankfurt after Christmas, weather forecasts forced us to make a pitstop. Capitole was very convenient for the motorway from Ghent to Brussels and perfect stop off as it was less than 90 minutes from the Channel Tunnel. We arrived a little after nine, and found the reception desk (doubling as the cinema's ticket counter)... More

Just returned from a nights stay at this hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly at reception and given the keys to our room. We were given the Bridget Bardot room but unfortunately the bathroom light did not work so we were moved to the Judy Garland room without any hesitation. The beds were very comfortable, the bedding very clean... More

A bit scurrilous, this place certainly is. Each room is dedicated to a movie star, complete with some information, a photo etc. The rooms are pretty functional, the stairs are rather worn, and some bathrooms are a bit old - but the people are charming and friendly, the breakfast room (a former ballroom, a bit run-down) is a hoot, and...
