Aan Zee is a narrow town house on the market place. There's underground parking available (at cost) but the ever-helpful staff pointed us to free parking nearby. Be warned that the car park approach is very steep so tricky for low cars. The room was a good size with tea and coffee making facilities (a European wonder in itself) but... More

We enjoyed a pleasant stay at the Hotel Aan Zee. Hotel is in a very central location but easy to get to by car. They offer off-road parking for a fee, but space was too small for our estate car. You can park on a local side street for free but it took a while to find a space. Don't... More

Saturday morning, after fighting through the crowds in the market, we were both feeling the need for breakfast, and had walked past this place many time previously. Today though, we decided to give it a try. We made the right choice. We asked if they did breakfast and were told that the breakfast buffet was 12 Euros per person, pretty... More

A friend who lives in the area told me, when I related our visit, "now you've had a West Flanders waffle!" Certainly compared with what we've had in Brussels, this was a league above! I actually had coffee, but my wife wanted a waffle. It was practically A4 size. Even with a few toppings, the price was reasonable. My wife... More

A group of 10 of us stayed here for one night for a little mini trip away. It's basic, clean and comfortable and great value. The rooms were pleasant and clean and breakfast was good too. Location is great being on the market square and we found free parking in a residential street a short walk away so didn't pay... More

I ordered a light meal of a toastie and was shocked when 2 arrived on a huge plate accompanied by Salad they were amazing, my friend had the waffles which were enormous and she could... More

stayed here for one night on the way home. Pretty place, bit twee, if your not keen on hotels selling their wares! Staff pleasant enough. The room was a bit on the small size, but this is compensated for by the balcony space, which is excellent for that evening glass of wine. Beds comfortable and the room was clean, even,... More

Stayed here with parents and it was perfect for us. Large car park to front, easy access to large rooms with lovely view of square, nice balcony, functional rooms with good clean design, decent Belgian breakfast. If you want something practical and easy you could do worse than here.

Coming from the US I needed to find place on the Belgian coast to stay with my mother who could not go home directly following her hip surgery. After an extensive search I selected the AanZee hotel because the picture of the website showed a bathroom suitable for a person with reduced mobility and there was an elevator. I am... More

Good central location , right on the Market-place ( ... on Saturday loud and busy ! ) Rooms ae okay but breakfast room / bar downstairs not very clean and dangerous stairs to toilets . Service could be a lot better , quality of food poor , same at bbq-party in summer !
