This was a stopover for us to explore the South of France. We flew into Barcelona and It took us around 3 and 1/2 hours to get there from the airport. (It could be tricky to find however, but our GPS got us there). We...More
We found the property via Relais Chateaux's website which instantly sets the bar of expectation high so, being a five star hotel with matching prices, it's only fair to be a little more detailed with this review:

I would not recommend driving in Montpellier city. There is a fantastic, modern tram system. The trams are designed by Christian Lacroix and, apart from being stunning, are efficient and run to time. In the old part of the city, you would want to walk and explore the narrow streets.
At the Domaine de Verchant, a member of staff meets you at the gate to park your car, away from the front of the hotel. There is plenty of parking space.
