I am conflicted about my stay here. On the plus side: very beautiful property. Very close to the Port of Parikia. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. Great price. Clean room. Loved the balcony. One the minus side: overall I found the customer service somewhat disorganized, poor, and lacking warmth. My sister had weird issues upon check-in: her reservation (the host showed no record of her reservation upon arrival?), the room size she paid for was not the room she got, and her room had no power at all when she checked in. We had to search for and flag down a man (presumably the host's husband?) in order to flip the breaker to get the power to come back on. There are no signs with information on how things in the room work (such as the power/light switch, the AC, and the shower, which were quite tricky - at least for me and the guest across the hall, too) and the hostess became quite hostile when she had to come to my room one night at 10pm to help me with the AC to get it to work. At that moment, I wanted to pack up and leave and go to another hotel. It seemed as if something was wrong (outside of the B&B) that was affecting her ability to be happy, warm, and welcoming with her guests. I also got the distinct feeling (from older reviews) that this accommodation used to be a lot more customer-friendly in their offerings (such as breakfast, and rides to/from the port, etc) and now, once you check in, you are basically on your own. I usually have such wonderful connections with my hosts, and this experience just left me feeling very flat, cold, and a bit sad. I avoided her as much as possible after the AC incident because I was so uncomfortable around her. In summary, with improvements to customer service, Pension Sofia could be such a heavenly place to stay. However, as it is, while I would go back to Paros in a heartbeat, I would definitely choose another accommodation for my stay. I have enjoyed so many amazing and kind hosts around the world (including other Greek islands), but this experience definitely fell short, and sadly, I would not recommend this accommodation experience for your stay in Paros.

When preparing the trip of my daughter and I, I have tried to book two nights directly on this pension website this summer but never received any confirmation. Without any confirmation I booked somewhere else. The night before the initial date, staying at another pension in another island, I received a call of the pension. I have made very clear that I never got any confirmation of my booking but the pension nevertheless charged me. I have contacted the online booking service the pension uses and no one answered my mail. You will agree that it doesn't make any sens for us to book, and pay, several rooms at different places the same time. Should I have received an email confirmation or any written communication I would have made may arrangements differently. Despite several calls and emails with the Sofia owner I was fully charged. I have no idea what went wrong in the process, all i can say is be careful. For my own part I think it is a shame.

We fell in love immediately walking up to this place. Very good location, friendly staff and beautiful landscape. Perfect for our time on Paros and added to our experience on this lovely island. The moonflowers and animals were an added bonus.

Extremely pleasant stay at delightful pension Sofia. Run by a polite and very sweet couple, who go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, it is definitely a place you actually feel love. Charming clean rooms with balcony and beautifully cared garden, walkable distance from port, beach, restaurants and shops. Wish I was still there.

We chose to stay here as we were looking for a base for our trip to Paros. We booked direct and Sofia was helpful on emails and the price was very reasonable. We were collected on arrival from the port by her husband who was very informative showing us where the supermarket was and the main town. The apartments are in a great location 10 minutes from the main port and town and 5 minutes from the bigger beach in the town. There are some great restaurants along the front only a few minutes away also. The pension is set in beautiful gardens and some rooms have a slight sea view. It is very quiet and peaceful. Our room was basic and not huge but well equipped with fridge, air con, safe and a very good powerful shower. The WiFi worked well also. We had booked breakfast which was 8 euros each each morning and it was good, the highlight the freshly squeezed orange juice and the nice coffee. We had a good stay at the Sofia pension and I would recommend it as a great base as the location is excellent. It is comfortable and nice and peaceful.

After spending time in Santorini, this lovely pension was just what we needed to unwind and get away from all the tourists! Sofia and her husband make you feel at home. The rooms have a nice cozy feel and have everything you could possibly need. The gardens are big and absolutely beautiful, the breakfast is delicious featuring homemade baked goods from Sofia's kitchen. Add to that Nala the dog and several friendly cats and you feel like you are home! You can't find a better place on Paros. We took a bus ride to Naousa to walk around and have lunch. We were glad we were staying in Parikia. More vibrant and more to do.

We stayed at Pension Sofia in September 2018. If your visit is anything like ours, a warm welcome awaits you. We arrived early from Athens before our room was ready. We were welcomed with some freshly squeezed orange juice and some home-made cake whilst we sat in the garden. The garden is beautiful, with lots of flowers, lush foliage and water features. In the garden, there are various shaded nooks and crannies with seating to relax in. Our room (Room 4) was clean and very well equipped with TV, air conditioning, hair drier, full size fridge, kettle (great to make a ‘proper’ cup of British-style tea - with your own tea bags), cups, glasses, cutlery, room safe, private balcony. Wi-Fi was available but we found it a bit patchy at times. The room was simple but nicely decorated. The bed was well presented with some towel ‘swans’. We found it a little firm for our tastes - but it was clean and reasonably comfortable. A breakfast buffet is available from 08:30 to 10:30 for 8 Euros per head, with fresh, homemade items. If you can’t find what you are looking for, Sofia can provide more. The pension is set back a hundred or so metres from the sea front and a short walk from the centre of the old town and the port (about 600m). There is a vast range of restaurants and bars nearby along the seafront and in town. You can also find numerous places to rent a car or motorcycle if you wish - or there is a bus service running from the centre of town that covers most of the island’s key locations. Sofia, her husband and daughter work hard to make your stay a pleasant one. We thoroughly recommend Pension Sofia if you want a pleasant stay on Páros.

A nice pension which is immaculately clean. Free lifts to and from the port. A good base in Paros if staying in the port area. A few streets back from the waterfront and a 10 minute walk into the town.

Sofia and her husband, as many reviewers stated, are tremendous hosts and the rooms and garden are beautifully maintained. We really wish we had booked more nights here. The location is excellent as well - close access to both the beach and the cute walkable streets of Parikia. We strongly preferred Parikia over Naousa and this is the place to stay!!
