Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing restaurants and beach right across road. Very clean hotel. Asked for a kettle and owner brought one up right away, with 2 mugs and spoons.

Comfortable beds, lovely sheets and super soft towels. 15 min walk from port (with luggage). Shorter if no luggage.

Fantastic location, opposite the beach, and a perfect beach
Large frontage with plenty of seating and shade to watch the world go by.
Rooms basic but you don’t need anything else as you only sleep in them.
We booked late so didn’t have a sea view but we were ground floor and had a veranda.
Hairdryer, tv, kettle, an iron was available upon request
Staff friendly enough.
Am already thinking of booking for next year.
A bonus was only a 12 min walk from port and there’s plenty of bars/restaurants on route

About ten minutes walk from the port, this is slightly further out than many hotels, but still close to lots of restaurants and right beside Parikia beach. You can swim directly across the road from the hotel.
Good sized bright rooms. Ours was in a separate building to the reception so we saw little of the staff.
It was a good clean hotel with all the amenities you would expect.

We had a 1 night stay at Irene Hotel before a sailing trip. The hotel grounds and room were very clean and adequate. The receptionist was one of the most unfriendly people I’ve encountered in the hospitality industry. She acted like I was imposing on her when I asked to check in. We requested extra towels for the beach across the street and she refused.

We only stayed one night in the hotel but found it excellent value for money. The owners were extremely helpful and responsive.

We had a sea view across a very nice garden, well cared for. We felt lucky to have found it :)

We stayed at Hotel Irene for 4 days at our last stop of a 2 weeks tour on the islands. The selection of Hotel Irene was done based on the reviews in TR, but in our opinion the hotel is not worth all its positive reviews. The reviews about close to the beach, big rooms, short walk from the center etc are right.

We stayed in room no 32 and probably one of the worst rooms they have. We had a nice sea view from our terrace, but being on the terrace was very noisy and not very relaxing. There was a loud noise from the restaurant next door and the street all day and evening. There was no shade for the sun in the afternoons, so the terrace was a place not to be from 1600 until 1900. The Wi-Fi inside the room was almost non-existing. On the terrace there were some signals.

The day we should leave we made an agreement in the morning that they should drive us to the ferry at 1130. The ferry was scheduled to leave at 1215. When we showed up in the reception at 1125 there was no one there to drive us. Every time we asked for the transport, "Mom" said 5 minutes. 1155 there were still no transportation so we had to run to the ferry. There was no excuse to here and they seemed not to bother about what they had promised and how they fulfilled the promises.

The hotel is ok, but the worst of the hotels we stayed at on our trip. I’m sure there are other places ranked lower that are much better than this place. If there will be a next time at Paros, we will select another hotel.

We had a lovely 18 nights at Hotel Irene. We stayed in an upstairs studio and a downstairs apartment which had a balcony with wonderful seaview. With basic cooking facilities we could prepare our own food. It was a great place to stay and we could not fault it. Very clean, bright room, friendly staff. Good central location, but quiet at night if you shut the balcony doors. Nice beach for swimming right across the road. Good wifi and air conditioning too. Would definitely stay there again, as this was my sixth year and am longing back there. Spoil yourselfs and take my advice. All of the best Jacques Vivier

We were not staying at the hotel. The whole island was full because there was a church holiday. So we stayed at the camping next to Hotel Irene. We were not prepared to stay on a camping so we had absolutely no equipment. We went to the hotel to ask for one night to borrow us a towel, that we have something to lie on. I sad Irene that we are willing to pay something for the service.

Irene's reaction was the most unfriendly I faced in my travelling. I never saw such an arrogant face saying NO!

Don’t go there – the only thing she is interested in is your money.

Have you ever heard about Greek hospitality and kindness? Probably yes, since you are now searching for a hotel to spend your holidays in Greece. Unfortunately, I'm sorry to say that the owners of this hotel are not an example of it. We booked a room for the first days of August, after weeks of searching for a room in Paros. The owner asked us to deposit 90€ in advance, in order to confirm our reservation. Since we were sure about our choice and having good intention to pay the larger amount of the total sum, we deposited 200€ instead of 90€ that we were asked. One day before our departure, my grandfather died and I immediately called the hotel to cancel my reservation. We kindly asked if they could return the amount of money that exceeded the 90€ that we owed in advance, and they rudely denied and yelling that we must have cancelled the reservation 21 days before, without showing any understanding about our grief and the loss of our family member. After that, I am convinced to believe that these "people" care only about your money and not about their guests as human beings at all. All in all, if your priority is a small hotel with a friendly environment So as to experience the renowned Greek hospitality,I totally urge you to stay away from it!!!!

I doubt it... the hotel is now closed until next year... so will be difficult to find out. I have friends who have stayed there but never saw a safety deposit box.
