Surprisingly, we were informed at Check-out that we had stayed at the hotel before. We couldn't remember.
Pros:
a) cheerful atmosphere
b) good age mixing, many children who do not disturb
c) modern designed, beautifully designed adults-only area,
d) Covered terrace that is pleasant even at 30 degrees, smoke-free terrace
e) Underground car park
f) rented bikes were good, the reservation worked
g) Reception is competent
h) Superior suite mountain view: nice terrace with sun loungers, good housekeeping
I) Own luggage transport possible and very easy and comfortable
Cons:
a) Smoking at the brine pool: we as non-smokers left the pool
b) Superior suite mountain view: is very tight around the bed (30-40cm passage), both we injured, the wound still exists after 1 week, missing lavabo in the toilet
c) Food: it's solid, wow effects don't happen, on August 15th there was a barbecue. It was good but kept very simple and manageable.
d) Starter buffet: repeats daily with a few extras to the theme evening
e) sometimes a bit of loud noise from the environment
f) On the holiday, August 15, at 7.30 am, the leaves were removed by the hotel caretaker with a blower. This was the wake-up call for many hotel guests.
The staff were friendly. It is not a 5* hotel, we did not expect. We go to South Tyrol again, the Adige bike path is just great, but not in Das Paradise anymore.

Everything is just right here: The rooms are large and tastefully furnished, the beds are comfortable. Everything works and is very well maintained. The pool and spa area with separate "adults only" sauna area with brine pool is extremely spacious. The ladies who conjure up the sauna showers deserve special mention, there is no other way to describe it. A real ceremony that takes place here twice a day. I enjoyed it very much. The kitchen of the house is beyond reproach, from breakfast to the midday snack to the great 4-course menu - the food is really good and beautifully presented!!! There is also a large wine list that also includes a lot of very good wines that fit more into the "inexpensive" category. But one of the most important things in a house like this is the staff and it is a real achievement, especially in this day and age, that the managing family has managed to attract a large number of extremely attentive and extremely friendly employees. Here you only meet people who greet you with a friendly smile, serve you and accompany you through the day. If you don't enjoy yourself to the fullest here, it's your own fault. A top place for a break in the South Tyrolean mountains.

We have been coming to this beautiful family-run hotel for years and are happy to be guests.
First and foremost, the entire team must be highlighted. The warmth and attention to even the smallest details is what makes every vacation an absolute relaxation!
The rooms are modern and comfortably furnished and the entire hotel is very well maintained and you can feel the personal touch that a family-run hotel has.
The cuisine is first class and has never disappointed us to date!
Many thanks to the Pirhofer family!

Let's go in order: we arrive at the hotel and as soon as we take possession of the room we immediately realize that it is not equipped with the minimum space to be lived in by two adults, a 17 year old boy and a small dog.
We point out the problem at reception by asking for a different location, at the same time making ourselves available to pay any supplement. We were told that the hotel was full (no more than 10 minutes earlier we had been reassured by the same operator about a fairly calm situation in the common areas given that a few days earlier there was chaos due to the fact that the hotel was at the height of the reception).
They therefore highlight to us that the room was illustrated to us at the time of the offer with the relative floor plan. All true... it's a pity that in the email it wasn't specified that the double bed was a king size and the adjacent sofa bed, once opened, would almost touch the side of the double bed (about 30 cm which made it difficult even to pass through or exit onto the balcony, whose window couldn't even open completely).
After three days of discontent we had the opportunity to represent this disservice to the hotel manager (at least we believe he was since he didn't even have the foresight to qualify). After informing us that we should have communicated the problem to him and not to the receptionist (why don't they talk to each other?) he reassured my wife by saying that the next day two more comfortable rooms would be available and that he would show them to her so that we could decide on a possible transfer.
Not only did he not bother to show us the elusive rooms but he even avoided saying hello when he randomly met us at the hotel.
Upon our request to bring forward our departure by one day, we were told that we would have to pay for the entire period. Faced with my firm determination not to pay for the last night and communicating my intention to also take legal action to assert my right, the property let it be known that they were making this concession to us and, given their understanding, we would have could have avoided the review.
And this is precisely why I want to make my very small contribution instead. Making a hotel a fully 5-star hotel does not mean equipping yourself with chenille throws, velvet cushions and lanterns scattered here and there, the difference is the care of the guest, the willingness to welcome and resolve the problems raised (in the in this case we are not talking about whims and the photos prove it). It should be understood that when you choose one structure rather than another there is also an investment in trust and it should be repaid with full hospitality and availability. Guests should be guests.

1. Food ok - but no gourmet cuisine - especially starter buffet is little varied and especially low quality products (lots of grilled vegetables, lots of Vitello Tonnato)
2. Children's buffet consists of 2 holding containers with 2 dishes each - after all, you can order from the menu for children
3. Children must drink from plastic cups at dinner - 5 star hotel (?)
4. Those who appreciate a well-kept atmosphere at dinner are out of place here. At least 50% of men wear shorts, slippers (barefoot) and/or basketball shirts. I.e. anyone can come to dinner as they please. It is not even kindly suggested that one expects a minimum of style at least at dinner.
5. Rooms: we had a kind of junior suite in the 2nd floor. OG - extremely small and impractical - no table, e.g. for laptop or similar
6. Espresso machine yes, 8 capsules free, then 50 ct per additional capsule - Ridiculous at the basic price (we are also not talking about Nespresso here)
7. Service personnel, basically friendly, but little trained and confident in handling - you can clearly see that savings are made here
8. Fixed tables for breakfast and dinner - basically ok - but if you always had a table on the terrace in the sun like us in the morning and don't want this, this is problematic. Also on Oct. Every day and after daily discussions (even with the restaurant manager) it was a challenge to get another table in the morning. Simply annoying for a 5 - star hotel
9. Sauna and wellness area good
Location: around the hotel and in the place there is practically nothing, especially in the evening nothing else is possible except hotel
Conclusion: overpriced and unconvincing for the claim, no feel-good atmosphere - poor value for money, therefore not recommended

We really enjoyed the week in paradise. Also our children aged just under 3 and 5 years loved it. The food was very fine, with a wide selection of wines. There are several dining rooms, so families and couples can be separated somewhat. Just down the stairs are the two playrooms, so the adults can continue eating in peace. In addition, there is a kids club that our boys loved. The carers are great!
In general, the staff should be emphasized. Very nice staff throughout the house. Top!
We were in the older part of the house but didn't complain about the room. In the underground garage it has enough space and a wide selection of rental bicycles for young and old. All three pools are heated, not huge, but it spreads well. It also has a separate toddler pool. The spa area is bright and friendly.
For us priced at the limit, but since the children were free due to an anniversary week, price/performance was right.
All around a recommended hotel!

The facilities in South Tyrol as usual do not disappoint for the variety and efficiency of the services available to customers. And even this five-star Resort in the magnificent stage of the Vinschgau Valley confirms the trend for the beauty of the location, the high-end cuisine and the numerous relaxation facilities such as heated pools and saunas. Perhaps the only observation that does not correct the final judgment much is that the areas reserved for children are a little more limited than other family Resorts in the region, with a mini club a bit problematic to reach in winter because it is housed inside a cottage detached from the main body of the hotel (you therefore have to walk a few meters outdoors to reach it). Friendly and smiling staff and all in all affordable prices for a five-star structure with Full Pension.

Beautiful hotel in the valley of apple trees.
The spacious hotel with all it’s cosy corners is beautiful renovated and surrounded by a large garden with a swimmingpool for adults and a kidspool with slide playground and kidsclub.

We were at the Hotel Paradies for the first time and we were absolutely delighted. The room is great, the staff always very, very friendly and helpful.
The pool(s) are very large, so you can even swim a few laps. Children are very welcome and are always treated kindly. The spa and wellness area for adults is simply great.
The sommelier Angelo deserves special mention, as he recommended several great wines to us during our stay. We could always rely on his recommendations.
We would love to come back.
