We have visited The Saracens Head numerous times whilst camping in nearby Christchurch and have also stayed at the pub in the excellent rooms they have. It is in a lovely location and easy to get to whether by car, bike or walking. They have a fantastic range of real ales for you to enjoy whilst you contemplate the menu....

This was out first stay for 2 nights and the location was fantastic. We had a fabulous riverside view from our room which was tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Our days were spent walking in the local area and up to the Symonds Rock with spectacular views. Our nights were spent in the restaurant which served excellent food. All of...

Our family of five stopped here for lunch during a 6-mile walk with our dogs. We sat on the terrace over-looking the river, taking in the view. It's a perfect spot with a hand-operated ferry. run by the pub, to take you across the river. The dogs were welcomed, the menu was varied and the food and service excellent. We've...

Have been to this wonderful pub/Inn on many occasions. Its an hour & a half journey for us, not too far to enjoy amazing food or a great restful sleep either in one of its pleasant rooms in the main building or in the Boat House adjacent to the pub. The location & scenery is just beautiful, one of the...

We came to eat here as it was recommended on the Forest Holidays website. It didn't disappoint at all. The theme in Forest of Dean is friendly service, and that was in abundance here. We had a great table with a view out over the river. We were feeling greedy after a day of walking so we all ordered a...

Food and drink was once again outstanding, all food served freshly prepared and cooked to perfection, and a fantastic selection of beers and wines. Well done to all for making my girlfriends night a special one for her birthday. Big thanks also...

What a beautiful location. We enjoyed lunch overlooking the river with the sun out, eating great food. The dogs were welcome too and there are good walks straight from here. Lots of different drinks to choose from as well with a big and varied menu. The pull boats and river cruises go from here. We preferred Symonds Yat East to...

My sister and I stayed here for one night earlier this week and it was expensive at £89 but this is an excellent hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and we had a room at the front overlooking the river which was very nice. Wifi was good. The breakfast was included in the price and it was really good with...
