I’ve been staying at this hotel for a while now and i absolutely loved the rooms - they were clean and spotless, staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and I even became friends with allwyn and zayyan they were so helpful. They told me places to eat gave me extra sheets/coffee whenever I asked them.

You’re lucky to have receptionists like allwyn and zayyan they were amazing.

I hope to visit again soon.

Despite reading some reviews saying the rooms were in a tired condition and damp in the bathroom, I found my room (303) very clean, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless as was the bed linen and towels. Staff were friendly and efficient. Only downsides were that there was no hairdryer and having to pay for the parking. Room was cold when I 1st arrived but that was because the window was open and the room being aired but once I shut this and turned the heater up, it warned up very quickly.

Room was average for what you pay for. Overall poor cleanliness. My bathroom was absolutely filthy. Sink or toilet not cleaned properly. Floor needed a good deep clean. Then no shower gel in the bathroom. Inside of kettle was left stinking from last people who stayed in the room and only having 30 minutes free Wi-Fi is absolutely ridiculous. Car park was absolutely filthy. Beer bottles and rubbish everywhere. Did not look pleasant. I only spoke to one staff member when checking in and didn’t really have a pleasant check in. Just a miserable staff member who was mumbling and of which I could not understand or hear any information being given to me,did not look like they wanted to be there. I understand we all have off days in work I completely get that but when serving good paying customers, we put on our happiest of faces to give customers a good experience! I did not complain to staff as only stayed for the one night. I would return to this hotel but if my room is like this for a second time I will be bringing it up with staff and will not be returning.

When i entered the room I got the standard experience you'd get from any budget hotel; that feeling of cleanliness and calm... but that initial reaction I got soon faded away when I realised just how much dirt was in the room.

The soap dispenser in the shower had dirty fingerprints on the side of it, and had a serious amount of grime/mould on it. The extractor vent in the bathroom was mouldy, the bin in the bathroom was rusted and the veneer in the bathroom was peeling away.

There was a white mark around 7 feet high on the wall above the beds (how does that even happen?) Oh and just for good measure the USB sockets on the wall between the beds didn't work!

Oh, and to top it all off one of the towels had a brown stain on it which looked like faeces. Now since speaking with reception in the morning (it was 1am when I noticed), they have advised they get their clean towels delivered.

So that knowledge combined with the location of the stain on the towels leads me to believe this was rust, but even so this is still not good enough by anyone's metrics!

My experience was awful. House keeping put a absolutely filthy mattress cover on our bed. Then refused to even touch it and made me take care of it. I was then handed a sheet and not a mattress cover. We stayed for 10 days and not once was our linen changed. There was black mold in our shower, firstly we were told we could not change rooms due to the hotel being booked however they would let us know when they could switch our rooms and would clean the mold. We were then told they could not clean the mold due to a health risk to their staff but as paying customers it was fine for us to be exposed to it. The place is absolutely filthy, stinks of Marijuana no one is ever at reception. AVOID. Ohhh and when we put the garbage can out to be emptied as the housekeeping staff were blind to the sign hanging on the door they left clean towel on the floor for us right infront of the door.

We booked a room for 3 of us, surprised when beds made up for 4, completely filling the room. “That’s how we do it” said the receptionist. We asked how the room would be if we’d just booked for 2. “Oh, just the big bed”. So why 2 extra beds for 1 extra person we asked. That confused him and answer came there none.

He was very helpful with the parking though.

The room was terrible. There was water all over the bathroom floor, both the hair & body wash and the foam hand wash were completely empty. Does anyone actually service these rooms?

Tried to have a bath, water tepid at best, though it was hot in the morning so clearly the boiler can’t cope with a full hotel.

Still the only hotel chain we know of where you have to pay for more than 30minutes of Wi-Fi.

We couldn’t get the heating to work, it seemed stuck in 2014, so the room was freezing.

Because of all the issues, the receptionist promised us that free packed breakfasts would be ready when we left at 5 the next morning. You guess if they were there .....

Booked and paid for an accessible double on ground floor, i did ring also prior to make sure what i needed was all ok on 20th June for 15th July.
We waited 15mins for reception staff to arrive, so I phoned number on desk and waited another 15mins.
We received our key card, it was on the ground floor, my heart sank twin beds no accessible bathroom, room was pokey not enough room for my walker. Went back to reception no accessible rooms available as double booked, he found us an accessible room at Egham, we had a family party across the road, why would I want to go to Egham, not good enough, so we had no choice, but he did give us a room with double bed, still not good enough not what I booked, very upset, well Travelodge you ruined our weekend

There was no duvet - perhaps understandable due to the weather, but disappointing.
There was also no hairdryer, you had to go to reception - so my frustration grew.
Then in the shower the body/ hair wash container was completely empty. I had to was without it , which is not at all what i expect when paying £70 for one night in a hotel.
When I got into bed the base sheet had a large blood stain on, and a smaller one. I can only hope it was a washed sheet with an old stain, but even still that is quite frankly disgusting.
I was staying at the hotel to make life easier for me with my chronic illness - due to my exhaustion from my illness I was unable to go downstairs to report these issues, or stay awake long enough to call downstairs and have someone come up, and so had to lay in a blood stained £70 bed for the night. This is just not good enough.

To top matters off, in the morning I noticed scale build up on the shower holder and limescale on the floor.

I’m led to believe perhaps this room had just not even been cleaned at all.

Then in the morning the cleaners were loudly walking down the corridor, knocking their trolley into the walls and doors making a loud bang, and knocking on doors, including mine, despite me only staying for one night and it not being the end of my stay yet.

I went to the Travelodge first time with my wife .we get very warm welcome from the reception lady named dur.sameen ,we found her really helpful and professional as she ask few basic question and assign a good room on ground floor as I explained her my wife has a problem with lift and she can not use stairs as well due to fracture in her leg. Room was so clean, bed was comfy, washroom was neat n clean, and I should mentioned one thing that I went almost three time to the reception for different queries but she never made bad faces or didn’t gave the feeling of unhappiness but serve me delightedly . It was a great experience at travelodge because I found he car parking so easily and my wife was happy and realx too.

Room was too hot, bed not made up, unhelpful reception staff, no shower gel. Just a really really bad experience. Premier Inn in Woking is well worth the extra £20 or so and bus in or there are pub hotels in Chertsey. I would urge you to absolutely avoid the Chertsey Travelodge unless you have no other choice.
