Detailed Reviews
Extremely clean pod inside and fully equipped with all the mod cons, plenty of cooking equipment and lots of added extras such as coffee, tea, oil, milk etc. Lovely homemade choc shortbread on table when we arrives, beds extremely comfortable and good storage. Fluffy towels and bedding good quality. BBQ hut is a must to be used and owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and delivered to our pod each morning, ordered homemade pizzas one night and they were amazing. A little tip for anyone, Please take midgie repellent, spray, candles or wipes with you as we were eaten alive in the mornings and at night, the good old scottish weather brings those horrible wee beasties out. Situated perfectly if you want to visit Laggan Loch,Laggan Wolftrax and we travelled into Fort William one day to go on the cable cars up the mountain. Fantastic wee place and we hope to be back again sometime.

Thoroughly recommend Laggan Glamping. The pods are amazing and exceptionally well designed and everything that you require. The highlight include the breakfast delivered to your pod, the fantastic pizzas and the bbq pod.
We took our horses - stables lovely and Michelle so helpful. However I would recommend the pods with or without horses as you are literally on the doorstep to the Cairngorms and within easy distance.
If taking horses come organised for routes you want to explore.
I have already recommended the pods to friends.

Just home from a few nights away at Laggan Glamping. The pods were spotless, apart from the odd cobweb but they are wooden huts, and have everything you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Mouse traps under the beds incase the odd one gets in. The welcome pack and the home made shortbread was a great touch..You can order breakfast to be delivered to your pod which is lovely.
The site is very quiet and a short drive away from restaurants and attractions. We had a lovely meal in the Letterbox Restaurant. They allowed the dog in and she slept quietly under the table while we ate.
The only downside for us is that the owners say the site is dog friendly. I would say that it is more a dog tolerant place. Dogs not allowed on the grass which is unusual and awkward when your dog has been trained to go toilet there. There is ample grass for the bottom to be fenced off for dogs leaving the play area free. It was a bit of a nuisance when the dog needed out during the night and we had to walk out the site to the grass especially when you keep poor health. Dog also had to be kept leaded (there are only 4 pods). This has unfortunately put us off going back.
When we arrived I threw the dogs ball on the grass for her to catch before noticing the small dogs not allowed on grass signs. I pointed to Joan that she had urinated on the stones.
Now bearing in mind we were in a DOG FRIENDLY POD, the owners have decided to charge us an additional £100 as there were dog hairs on the bed and we therefore did not leave the lodge as found. This is for extra cleaning incase the next occupants have allergies but why wld you put someone with allergies in a dog friendly pod 🤷♀️. Also accused us of smoking in the pod. None of us smoke! Laughable really.
Myself and my husband both had to lie down mid day and probably had dog hairs on our clothes hence the transfer to the bed!
I found the male owner very arrogant. Had asked him about the Letterbox restaurant being dog friendly and he said no way when infact it was. The wry smile and looking at you as if he was above you was just disgusting. Joan his wife however is lovely.
Anyway lovely few days in the highlands and lovely meal at the letterbox restaurant.

Thank you very much for your review, I am glad you enjoyed the pod. When you arrived and let your dog on the childrens play area, even although there are two signs up asking you not to, I came down and explained that we do not allow dogs on that area due to them having used it as a toilet but there are hundreds of acres just at our entranceway for you to walk your dog and let your dog do its duty. I also explained that we ask all dog owners to keep their dogs on a lead as we have horses, sheep, and other dogs around and have had problems in the past with loose dogs. You agreed to do so, but unfortunately this was not the case. I watched you several times take your dog out not on a lead, and when you couldnt get it out our entranceway, it ran off and urinated on the grass at our playpark! I also saw your dog run off from you again and go onto the deck of the next pod, at which point your husband threw you the lead from his pod and you put it on, a bit late. You also asked us to corden off part of our playpark which is used continually by children for ball games and playing because you didn't want to walk the 50 metres to the grass at our entranceway! If you had informed us that you had any health issues we would have been happy to put you in Pod 1 which is the closest to grass for your dog. Regarding the dog hairs in the beds on the sheets on the mattress and surrounding area , i have attatched a video that we took as we have never encountered so much hair in a pod when a guest has left. https://youtube.com/shorts/ue3lO4WxhSA Our laundy has to put this through a seperate wash with hair dissolver in it as we do have guests with severe allergies and this is why we ask that dogs are not allowed on beds. We at no time accused you of smoking, we merly quoted the relevant part of our terms and conditions, which you did not adhere to throughout your whole stay. We work extremely hard as a family to maintain our high standards for all guests in very challenging times, and i am sorry if you found my husband to be arrogant but it is very frustrating when you continually ignored what was asked of you. Contrary to what you have said we have not charged you £100, and due to your multiple health problems we will not be. However it is not asking much for our guests to abide by our rules which are clearly stated on booking, which are there for the safety and comfort of all our guests.

🚫⚠️ WARNING ⚠️🚫 All dog owners beware of this place as they advertise a safe and secure dog area that's 2 acres. I visited here on the 27th June 2024. this dog area is not secure as the fence beside the main road is practically lying flat and not safe to have dog off lead 🙄 🤬
there is a swing set that they class as a play area and not for use for dogs which is fair, but my puppy put one paw on the grass and the owner Jean had a right go at me about this and was very condescending about my puppy being on the grass. she then proceeded to have a go about us having the blinds down on the main door and to not go in and out of the pod as the blind will fall of (we exited the pod one time) she then proceeded to tell my 10 year old daughter off for the same reason. This was the first interaction with the owner as she did not even great us when we came to stay. the overall experience we had was soured by the owner Jean. plus there family proceeded to stare out there house windows at us 👀. there is alot of cctv around the area which I understand is for safety but also very intrusive to your personal space.
The pods where of substandard cleanliness, there was tissues and sweet wrappers tucked between the wall and matress, the toilet and shower cubicle had a very strong odour of urine and we had to spray before we used (we stayed one night so didn't want to complain while we were there) we will not be returning and regret booking at this place I think the negative reviews that previous people have placed have been deleted as this place it not up to scratch unless you are in your own caravan and have no dogs with you.

Dear ScottP1410NC Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We value all guest feedback and use it to improve our services continuously. We'd like to address a few points raised in your review: Dog Area: We apologize if our dog area did not meet your expectations for safety. The 2-acre area is typically well-maintained, but we will immediately inspect the fence and ensure it is secure. Safety is a top priority for us. Unfortunately the fence is damaged each winter by Bear Scotland's snow ploughs and although we attempt to fix it, sometimes the damage it too bad. However in all the year we have been offering the free dog exercise area not one dog has managed to ecape and there have been thousands use it. Interaction with Jean (it's actually Joan): We regret that you felt our communication was not up to standard. Jann's intention was to ensure all guests have a pleasant stay and to maintain the condition of our facilities. We will review our approach to ensure it is always friendly and welcoming. Cleanliness: We take cleanliness very seriously and are disappointed to hear about the state of your pod. This is not reflective of our usual standards. We will address this with our cleaning team to prevent any future occurrences. Privacy Concerns: Our CCTV is in place for the safety and security of all guests. We understand your concern and will reassess its positioning to balance safety and privacy. First Impressions: We aim to greet all guests warmly upon arrival. We apologise if this did not happen in your case. We will reinforce our check-in procedures to ensure every guest feels welcome. We appreciate your feedback and hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future. We are committed to providing a positive experience for all our guests. Best regards, Stevie Laggan Glamping

We stayed in Pod 4 as a family of two adults and two kids (ages 9 & 11), end of July (two days very warm weather, one day thunderstorms) and while it was fine it certainly wasn’t good value for money.
Good points: very nice location, reasonably clean pod, friendly owner, breakfast was fine, good free WiFi signal.
Reasons we won’t return: beds very small (I’m 5’7” and couldn’t stretch out comfortably), persistent smell of septic tank (I’m no stranger to country smells, this was definitely a septic tank), no fly screens meant that in warmer weather we couldn’t sit inside without having flies and midgies fill the pod (the pods are very warm, and the heating came on automatically even in the heat), the seated area is small and uncomfortable (certainly not suited to anyone slightly overweight) and the main factor - cost (nearly £200 per night!!).
I wouldn’t say it was a bad experience, but I couldn’t have stayed more than 3 nights. The cost and description indicated “luxury” but I don’t consider having bedding and towels provided as the indicator of luxury. I hope this review helps others make an informed choice.

Wld have been a 4 out of 5 but following abusive messages from the male business owner this is now a 1.
Myself and my husband booked a dog friendly pod from Wed to Frid. On arrival the place was lovely. Pod was spotless, well maintained, had everything you need and more. The homemade shortbread and the welcome pack was lovely.
When we arrived I threw the ball for my dog before noticing the “no dogs allowed on grass” sign. There is a small play area for kids. As I was ushering the dog off the grass the female business approached to remind me of the policy and the dog was advised to sit which she did. I shouted on my husband to bring her lead, which he took his time doing, and pointed to the puddle on the gravel in which my dog had urinated.
Anyway a few good days spent in the Highlands. Left my reviews as above only to be charged an additional £100 because I didn’t leave the pod as is? There were dog hairs on the bed which apparently incurs an extra charge.
I have a number of chronic health conditions and had to lie down during the day. My clothes must have had dog hair on them which transferred on to the bed. The reason for this is that the next occupants may have allergies but this was a “DOG FRIENDLY POD”. Also accused us of smoking. We don’t smoke!
Peaceful 50 year olds with 2 successful children and a dog loving life leaving an honest complaint to someone who obviously can’t handle it.

Beautiful location, spotlessly clean, large pitches with all services on tap.
Friendly helpful owners. Great value.
I wish Stevie,Joan and family all the very best in the future.
Too many sites are taking advantage of caravanners and motorhomers just now , with inflated prices and sub standard values. They should maybe take a wee visit to Laggan Glamping soon and learn how it should be done.
Thank you for making my stay very enjoyable. Hope to revisit soon.

We stayed as a family with our dog for 3 nights and loved ever minute of it. The pods have everything you need and there is breakfast and pizzas delivered to your pod, what more could you ask for. We went exploring the miles of countryside with Sunny our dog and we really made the most of the trails. We will definitely be back, this place has something special.
